harder to get sponsors though. I think sponsors is the next area of the game crying out for some change. I don't think its an easy process though :)

Quote ( Marcus Keeley @ September 16th 2016,22:02:25 ) Do we have to FOBY how much Spa increases energy by or is the information already available in newbie guide / general questions?
All the other training increases/decreases are FOBY so why would this be any different?

^THIS^
Give it a few weeks, people will have it figured out, there will be calculators available to work stuff out for you and everyone will be back to complaining about there being no new challenges.

One of the pro members of my team was driving ct97 last night and didn't have any problem!!!
Think about it!!!
We just have to learn what kind of a driver we need if we want to use high ct.
He was about 3 seconds a lap slower by the end of the race though.
No, he wasn't. It was less than 2 seconds, but he made a fuel mistake and was full loaded.

Might have been suggested by someone already:
I think we should be able to set the driver to use his energy for particular periods in the race then. Instead of looking which driver will last the longest or who will roll down risks the most, we could have a lot more strategy going on when to save the energy and when to use it.

That doesn't make sense. If such measure was to be introduced, better to play around with nominating risks to use at different stages of the race. But we have boost laps too, which massively decrease lap times, so they would be made redundant.

I used 0 CT in Race 1 and my energy is already at max. Is this normal?

Quote ( Mikko Heikkinen @ September 17th 2016,08:35:01 ) Why not ?
It's obvious, because you have an Elite driver!!! It is like all (Or just couple of leaders) drivers of F1 after 40 lap said, "Oh come on! I can't do it any more! I will take my foot from accelerator pedal, and don't want to win any more! I Tired!" and in the next race they did the same, but on 60 lap. - Is it logical for you? It's not for me.
|
|
|
If we can see the current energy level "live" (every lap) this would be better, and we can analyse, when, why and how many energy lost the driver....but I continue to believe, every wins (also my win) is only luck, not knowledge currently and this is bad :(

is interesting for me. now nobody can go with 100ct all races, the game became more difficult and you have to get smarter

Yes, I was talking about this guy. And you are right, it is strange, but that's how it is 😎
Don't forget his low car lvl. You can also imagine his motivation.

Quote ( Andriy Dyadkovich @ September 17th 2016,11:12:52 ) next race they did the same, but on 60 lap.
Have you ever tried to run 3 km on level track, then run 3 km cross country ?
Your energy goes quite different amounts depending on which kind of path (track) you go
Quote ( Andriy Dyadkovich @ September 17th 2016,11:12:52 ) because you have an Elite driver
So by your logic an elite athlete uses the same amount of energy in a 40 km marathon in London and a 20 km run on the Moon :D
How's that not illogical ?

Don't worry chaps. My driver energy is right back up to 100%. Ready to go again on Tuesday, maybe a couple of people even have enough energy to keep up with me.

I think this is a good new feature. BUT: Changing a BASIC feature of the game - like this - is NOT correct!
Maybe I was not an eagle-eye forum user... but I've never heard or read: guys, next season there will be a new method of driver skills, so prepare for this or that or something.... Was there a notice or not?
So I am very disappointed, because: I had a plan for about 3 seasons before, You know that: find a new talented driver, train for 2-3 season, cleverly and tactically, bla-bla
And I was training like this, and tried to find a new way to reach to higher level.
And now, when I was ready, when time has came, at the start of my pushing-season when I wanted to reach the desired "higher level"... i open my account and read: hello, new feature, buddy...
What? Uhh. All of your plan went to the trash maybe?
No problem, was only 6 months of work and patience...
So this is not nice.
Now You ( I ) need a new plan, lets get start everything from the basics.... for 6 month again. Superb. And try to enjoy The Game.... just like before.
Thanks for reading! I wish You much energy! :)

In the season announcement:
Welcome to the new buzzing and energetic Season 55! This season we will introduce a new driver attribute called energy. To find out how it works and what it affects, please refer to chapter 2.3 of the Game Rules. In short, you should rework your driver risk management. We advice you to lower your risks until you know what you are doing. With this new feature, we have removed the not so popular, but often reoccurring technical problems related to high risks, which many of you liked to call "randoms". While we've always advocated that people should learn to manage their driver risks to avoid those technical problems, we realize it was hard to do it without any feedback. This was the main reason why this feature was introduced.

^Zsolt, do you really need high ct risks to do "pushing-season" to promote to Pro? So, it looks that's a pretty good plan, though. :) Anyway, you've had P5, so it is not a total disaster, am I wrong?
A little comment from me: I have mixed feelings about this stuff, but we just have to adapt to new circumstances and I think that before this season game and strategy was stagnant a bit. Maybe it's too radical, but who knows, maybe one massive strategic shock is better than changing some details every season.

Im loving it. Everyone back to the drawing table!

Same here Zsolt :D However I already have been 5 season with my driver, which is even worse. :D

Whatever happens, the top three still promote. If you were ready to do that, you most likely still will. You are still in a better place than those who are not prepared.
Seems very likely once everyone gets to grips with the levels of ct to run, those who are planning to promote will face the same competition they would have before the change. Maybe less if others were relying on using 100ct!

So in fact there was no notice beforehand. No time adapt. Thank you.

If Elite champions don't need notice then neither do we :)

I agree, that change doesn't affect my driver, whom I've been training since season 48. If you know a little about game, it won't be difficult to promote from Amateur even when major changes are introduced.

As a amateur driver this new feature will make it much easier for the more experienced managers here and it should also give the not so experienced a fighting chance as long as it doesn't push the average car part levels higher which then will demotivate any newbie from continuing to play

I'm really happy with this new energy feature I must say, although it came little too late for me. If this had been in place last season I shouldn't have to screw my long term goals. But still I'm glad now we have a feature in place which will direct people to use more realistic risks. If it matters anything then here are my 100 votes to this feature---- ----- 100-----
:)
