I don't think it would be realistic... What about people who go there just for this weekend to see the race... They can't just stay there for another week... For TV it could be possible to change some stuff but not for the spectators who go see it live.

Its just same for the Rugby world cup ..

Some supporters saved up for 4 yrs for this and some games cancelled altogether.
