Not really a strong group :P Look at the race summary, and compare every amateur group : /gb/RaceSummary.asp?group=Amateur&Season=67&Race=2
You can see that i win the race while i'm just the 110° amateur time (on 93 amateur group ^^) Also, there is a few group where our P2 and P3 aren't on the podium Same for points scorer. In a lot of other groups, some don't even score a point :P
But it's not the weakest ;)

Good luck for the new season. Wish everyone the best and enjoy your season.
I have the joy of dropping motivation for the first 5 races so expect the sand bagging to continue

Come on! I wish it to be an exciting season!

Good luck guys and girls :)

Man I over-killed it last race, I went so slowly I didn't make the 90% rule... Have to do bad but not so bad that I make the 90% rule lol. Only 4 more races before I can race again... the countdown continues

Well I am just trying to retain and train my driver for a few seasons.
Hope everyone has a great season.
Will you suck but I like you, don't destroy me too much after race 5 haha

This sandbagging is proving to be quite the challenge. Too much in the first race, not enough in the second race. 3rd time lucky?

Here we are in the Cup final, good luck, Martin.

Why did you guys have to quualify? I was in pole for god sake ;)

Hello ama8, I hope everyone has an enjoyable season. Anyone brave enough to make a call on who will promote?
My tip.......I won't. :-)

Well, almost half way and Adam has shown his intention to promote from 1st place! It's going to be a great tussle for the last promotion spot with Philip,Tasos and Jack all displaying good form, I'm not counting Babis out either as i think he may push towards the seasons end. It'll depend on Greg's and Edgar's pilot contracts whether there'll be enough room on the podium to score the required points for anyone to have a serious chance to change the top 4 as it is.
At the other end its still anyone's to lose, it's only one good performance to avoid relegation so keep trying and don't give up, a little luck can go a long way when your placed in the 30's.
Anyone wanting to show some courage and place a tip? Will Dalibor push for 1st? Who do you think will push for promotion? Will we have a run of bad weather? Can I turn things around and score a point? Please don't worry about answering that last question. Whatever happens make sure you enjoy the season and may there be no more punctures .

I have to say that I am in awe (and 2-3minutes behind) of the top 5. Adam enters this race looking for 5 in a row and top spot and maybe more after 4 fastest lap wins all starting from the front row. Hat tricks, Grand Chelems and 5 in a row are rare achievements in any class, winning awards like those against managers like Greg, Dalibor and Philip would seem impossible but Adam could do it with a win tomorrow! As hard a challenge as winning 5 in a row is, getting pole off Edgar could be harder still. Adam has been foiled by Edgar's amazing qualifying times from scoring a stat in the hat trick column 4 races in a row. We all know how rare good form is so Adam, with this track being a favourite of his drivers, has got to be hopeful that this time he can start from the other side of the front row and score himself 3 rare feats at the same time. How could you plan to attempt that? I wish him all the best.
Still plenty of races left but I think this one will be very entertaining at the front. May the best prepared win

Loving the write ups Jas!
Personally I wasn't expecting to be in this position... but I'll take it!
This race is all about luck, will the rain stop/how long will it last etc

Or will we be handed a heap of randoms just to remind us how fragile racing is.....
Unfair yet it's part of the game.

2 punctures, Adam Richardson and myself. I want to say I jinxed both of us, but I'm not that good.
What a blow out, pardon the pun, We can't have 2 in a row? Surely.

What a finish for 1st! Adam just couldn't get past on the last lap and Greg waves him out of the cup and moves closer to Ama8 champion. The promotion spots are secured you'd reckon but the battle for 1st has heated up. It looks as though Greg will almost secure 1st with a win at his pilots favorite track but who knows if the gods will throw tacks on the track just to keep it unpredictable. Greg, Adam, Dalibor and Edgar have been so consistent all season promotion is a just reward as none of us have been able to dislodge you guys off the podium (except for Flavia early and Philip's great 2nd) Well done and best of luck next season in pro.
At the other end its business time and attempts at retention are being planned in the hope of a result over the next few races, this is a scary time for anyone without points, even with a lowered relegation mark. Good luck everyone, may the best prepared get the job done.

Thanks Jas - That's my season finished, now need to lose motivation, and quick to renew my driver in pro!

Congrats to everyone who's survived another season. Ama 8 has been dominated by Edgar, Dalibor, Adam and especially Greg who showed great composure to rally and fight off Adam's mid season challenge and not only win the A8 champion title but takes the cup home as a fitting reward for a season that includes 8 wins and 15 podiums from 16 races ! Probably the most consistent season I've been present in. Only Philip gave any real chase as the top 4 proved they're a class above the rest of us this season. I wish you all the best luck next season.
With the last race in a few days the musical chair rotation happening at the other end continues. I, along with 14 equally desperate managers will be doing our best to secure another season in ama 8 and keep the dream alive. :-) Does anyone have the courage to make a public call on who will do what's required by a cellar dweller in the last race? I will be trying my best to finish in the top 10 or fluke a point but will I need luck? Yes. So I guess that's not a call,,,, Could Matthias let the hand brake off and jump out of the red in a last gasp save?? The pressure is on the bottom end of the table this race, good luck and may the best prepared win.

I was just glancing at the next 25 promoting managers (if extra places are available) and noticed the points scored range from 61 down to 54, the same score as Philip! Doesn't that put an interesting twist on the last race. 10 points would give him every chance of earning a promotion spot which would deservedly reward him for scoring from 14 races yet only getting on the podium twice as the top four monopolized the their positions. Good luck Philip on your quest to enter pro next season, I'll be trying to finish right behind you as second would guarantee I stay here , making my day. That's not a call, more a wish. Still, Dalibor and Greg will be hard to keep up with, I'd expect Greg would win normally though many of us will be hopeful his, and most other previous point scorers cars start to smoke early as they prepare for next season while the rest of us try desperately to avoid a team reset in rookie. Good luck everyone, bring your umbrellas.
