So in my rookie group there were two guys that caught my attention due to the extremely long stints they managed to pull off. One of them didn't make a stop until lap 52 and the other one made his stop in lap 53. According to my own fuel calculations the whole 180L tank should only be good to go around 43-47 laps given that Yas Marina is a low consumption track. Is it possible to perform such fuel management as to make it last for 52/53 laps out of a 55 lap race?

Yes, many managers completed the race with no pit stop :)

quite a lot of things are involved here and you should compare those people's various things with your's some of them are - 1.car lvl- some particular parts have more to say in fuel consumption 2.driver - some driver's have the capability to consume less fuel than others 3.strategy - were they pushing at all in race I have thrown quite a bit of hints o re-check your calculation. but going 52 and 53 laps on one tank is quite rare for rookie group , they might have perfect combination of required things/attributes is only reasonable argument.

Rain means less fuel consumption too

Congratulations. 31 of the achievements came from this race. None of which were done in Master or Elite. Only 204 managers have achieved this, just to give an idea how rare this kind of race is.

nice but what about the tires, my tires need to be replaced every 12 rounds. It seems I'm a real rookie, it's fun so I still have to learn a lot

It's in the Qualify 1 that you can choose other tyre compound.
But Extra Softs are definitely the most "popular" in the the first newbie races.
