Welcome to the game called Pick Your Fastest when the only requirement to be able to play is being in a GPRO team!

Nominated in best silly game category in the current GPRO Oscars as well as S64 S77 and S83 (Game was dormant between S64 and S76)
This is a team game, before every GPRO race you pick one player from your team who you think will finish in the top 8 of their GPRO race and the number of GPRO points they scores there is the amount of goals you score in PYF.
Any team can join only once - that means if your teammate already joined with your team you can discuss your picks with him, or even post that pick if he/she cannot do it but you can't play independently. There may be exceptions from this rule but only in case an odd number of teams and more than one player from a team wants to play. Final decision on this belongs to the host.
The beauty of the game is that it does not really matter whether you're a Rookie or Elite player, only thing what matters is how many points your pick will collect in their GPRO race.
The Game will start at Race 2 .
To join just post:
##join Team Name (full team name please!)
Team who were active last season will be guaranteed a starting slot, as long as they confirm before the start of Race 1. These teams are shown in Post # 2 (or they will be when I post them!!). Any new teams will be accepted on a "first come first served" basis so register your interest asap. The League can expand or contract relatively easily so final set up will depend on the number of teams registered...
The game works best with 16 teams ........ but can work with more or less. The Host reserves the right to refuse any team from joining - only used in extreme circumstances!!!
#RULES:
1. Number of times you can choose your team mates depends on the group level they are participating in. Details are as follows:
- If your team mate is in Rookie you can pick them 2 times.
- If your team mate is in Amateur you can pick them 3 times.
- If your team mate is in Pro you can pick them 4 times.
- If your team mate is in Master you can pick them 5 times.
- If your team mate is in Elite you can pick them 6 times.
If a team mate of yours does a hard reset during a season, the maximum times you could use them is two, unless you've already picked them once then only one more time could they be used again. If you picked them twice or more times then you're not able to pick them again even if technically after the hard reset he hasn't participated in any race.
2. Minimum number of team members to compete in this game is 5, if your team has not enough members to compete through whole season (5 rookies, 5 amateurs, and other possible combinations whose picks sum is lower than 15), after you used all available picks, you will be able to choose every member of team one more time.
3. Scoring system
Win - 3 points
10-10 Draw - 2 points
Draw - 1 point
Lose- 0 points
DNP - -1 points (If you forget to pick then you will get a penalty point deducted in the standings - also see Rule 4)

4. If a pick is not made for a race you will automatically score 0 and I will automatically use one of the sellections of the nominated contact or if they are all used the highest level in the team (Elite, Master etc). So if I did not pick for Madtaffs one of my picks would be used . In addition you will still lose the penalty point as detailed in rule 3.

We will continue the trial of a 2 division system to keep more teams involved for longer in the season - The top 2 teams in Division 2 will replace the last 2 in Division 1 so will mean more to play for towards the end of the season. The League will take a pause at Race 9 to allow the League and Cup to finish together in Race 16
6. Posting picks
Here is the template of how you should post your picks:
LEAGUE - Team name – Manager chosen – Group they are in
CUP - Team name – Managers chosen – Group they are in
Picks MUST be posted before the start of each Elite race normally at 20.00.00.
7. Substitutions
You can post two picks for the race, second player posted is a substitution player. It works in a simple way - if your premier pick gets 1 point in a race and your second player gets 2 points then in PYF you score 2 points. However to not make it too easy both picks are counted as used , not only the one who actually brings goals to the team. Another limitation is that we have maximum of 14matches a team would play this season so 7 subs are allowed.
8. Cup. The cup will start normally at Round 9 though that may be changed if required dependent on numbers. The Cup will be a pairs competition so 2 picks will be needed each race, and each round will last at least 2 races. For the Cup, each team member REGARDLESS OF LEVEL can be picked 3 TIMES (this is separate from the League picks), and the same pair may not be picked in the same round of matches. NEW FOR THIS SEASON - If the same pair of picks are used or you pick someone who has used up their 3 picks you will lose all the points for that race.
GAME FORMATS
All previously used game formats are described in here: /gb/forum/ViewTopic.asp?TopicId=28007&PostId=4325128#post4325128 . As previously stated this season will be a 2 division league of 8 per division, but the above is subject to change depending on the number of teams competing
Rules are simple, each phase both of the League and Cup, starts with every team having 0 points. In case any tiebreaker is needed, for all phases it works as follows:
1. More goals scored
2. Goal difference
3. Games against each other, if still even, then the one who use higher group player ( Elite, Master....) will win.
4. If still even, then the team with less DNP.
5. If it's still even, then the one who was leading before last race.
6. If still even a simple draw will determine who is higher.
#Prize money:
You are free to donate if you want to make the prize bigger but if you don't want to do that, that's okay ;)

1st 50%
2nd 30%
3rd 20%
If under 5€, then winner takes all or nothing :P

I have sent out 6 messages to see if people are interested in joining ( or in the majority of cases re-joining) IF YOU KNOW ANYONE WHO WANTS TO JOIN LET ME KNOW ASAP PLEASE
If I get up to 22 teams we will have 3 divisions - Division 1 of 8 teams and Division 2a and 2b of 7. Promotion will be 1 team from 2a and 2b to replace the bottom 2 in Division 1

That's an interesting way to do it, I thought it'd be a 3rd tier with 2 promoting to the 2nd flight. This way will also be very interesting if we do manage the extra division

It is an extra incentive to any team joining that they can reach the top tier in one season. Do you think any of the other Andromeda teams would be interested???

We talked to them and most of them aren't interested due to lack of time and commitment to forum games.
