Yes agree Read the Rules and FAQ and Newbie Guide.

You cannot sign a Driver in Rookie above 85.

Take the Ceritification test as well.

Extending driver contract gives a nice motivation boost, bringing OA up quite a bit. You might wanna do the same....

Gary mate, note that overall doesn't = good driver . I have found really rare pearls hiding on overall below 79 , as overall goes up and down depending on motivation it is really not a good thing to look when you are in the market, you might find an amazing driverwith low overall due to zero motivation or a really shi* driver with higher overall due to 250 motivation and no other qualities, so choose carefully ;)

This is exactly right.
Contact extension plus a yoga would easily achieve this, going from 85 to 91 OA.
Good luck this season Gary 😊

Edit;
Luca is correct about motivation and OA.
Do not use OA as the way to determine a good, bad or ugly driver. You need to look at all the attributes.
There are a couple that are almost completely useless to you in Rookie but will use up valuable OA that is better off elsewhere.
Feel free to send me your driver stats if you need advice on him, via PM.
Cheers

as the thread topic sounds quite general I'd like to post a question here. I'm a rookie and need info about the driver :)

How does the regeneration work? Is the driver energy updated multiple times per day? I couldn't figure out the pattern so far. It seems to be more often than just once a day.
And what influences the regeneration? The stamina?

Thanks.

Update for DE is at xx;50 hours approximately
But
Not every hour.
You will need to watch that closely yourself, as the rate varies between the two races of the week.

In Rookie running out of DE with low CT should never be an issue /problem

Thanks. What is low CT?

Well, I can tell you my driver is not back at 100 energy, so I dont think it is not an issue. Even in rookie you should keep an eye on it.

Stefan, CT = clear track.

People usually refers CT to clear track risk.

Different manager will tell you different answer on what is "low CT" or how low is "low".
Generally, for your reference, a value of 40 is considered very high in Rookie according to GPRO wiki.

Thanks. Saw that information already.
I changed my risk settings compared to the last race, so lets see how my driver finishes the race. he was dead after the last one :)

Sorry, but 90% the forum topics aren’t necessary if the person isn’t lazy.

So, if someone can’t understand something after they read the rules, faq etc., ok to ask the community, the forum is here for this. But, to ask before they trying to understand because laziness is lack of respect in my opinion.

I'd rather see a person interactive with the forum and asking questions for the community to answer than see someone struggle. 99/100 you get a quicker answer looking in the forum for the answer. I appreciate rookies asking questions in forums as it shows their willingness to succeed rather than just guess

Bloody hell, what's wrong?
I started the game 4-5 days ago and read a lot of stuff. As the game unfolds I obviously have some questions.
Funnily enough I also heard about the atmosphere in the forum, unfortunately I see it confirmed.
Most people are helpful though.

Sorry Kyle, but I disagree!

A person who doesn't even read the "Game Rules" and asks immediately, doesn't show me "their willingness to succeed" but that he wants to have it easy and is waiting for others to do the work for him. To ask what OA a driver can have in rookie shows me not the willingness but the laziness.

He has said he's read a lot about the game. He couldn't find an answer so he made a post.

It's because of people like you, most newbies don't stick around.
