The Masaryk circuit or Masarykring, now referred to as the Brno Circuit, is a Czech racing circuit located close to the city of Brno at Kohoutovice. It was used before and after WWII for events such as Grand Prix Masaryk measuring up to 19 miles (31 km) in length before the existence of Formula One. It was formerly the site of the pre-war Czechoslovakian Grand Prix and is now used primarily for motorcycle races. in 1962, the track was shortened again to 8.66 miles (13.94 km). The current track was built in the second half of 1980s. The circuit has undulations and numerous twists and turns. That means there are lots if overtaking opportunities in the circuit. The circuit has received a high praise from MotoGP riders, with overtaking opportunites at every corner.
