It's a tricky decision. Too low and I get stuck behind Robert all race. Too high and my driver errors! If you do a quick study you'll realize that being stuck behind someone is quite better than having DMs :{)
Also, in ama, you really dont need to overtake much to do well. Especially in Hard/Very Hard overtake tracks. There is very very small chance of overtaking people in such tracks. You can observe this for yourself. One of the rules i follow is "If you think you cant overtake, there is no point in using higer risks to do it. It simply wont happen!"

Quote ( Jason Winthrop @ April 16th 2013,17:11:38 ) Might get fastest lap this race :)
Good luck all. Bloody hell I can't even buy a fastest lap. Gabor does it with ease and I crash out. I know, I know to finish the lap 1st, you must 1st finish the lap. ;)
85 races and counting.

That's alright Gabor I thought that might've been my best opportunity yet to get a fastest lap. You guys are all just faster than me in race trim.
I must be mark webber great qualifier, average racer. Lol

We have got on to our group, I looked at the statistics. I've been saving up just to have enough money next season. The pilot is pretty poor and expensive, and must be replaced.
Good luck Jason the race ! :))

Good luck Gabor and everyone else.

Yeah GL everyone for the last race of the season, especially for people still fighting for staying in ama!
And pffft Robert! You qualify ahead of me again....do i have to alter my strategy to make sure i dont see your rear wing much? :{P

I have not figured out for sure if I am still competing to not relegate. I am pretty close to the bottom. I sure hope I learned something from this season, as this poor performance was NOT expected :)
I am not seeing any obvious red zone candidates who will improve, am I wrong? Maybe Galeteo...

5 points should be safe IMO ;{)
You've a good car and good finances...maybe you should have pushed a bit more in a couple of races but i dont see a problem tbh :{)

Money was tight, Sho. The REAL problem is next season. Not sure I can get anywhere with my current driver, and I will lose him.
Was considering whether, if I fail to promote next season, I should go back to rookie for a season of tyre testing. My tyre sheet is not accurate enough, and may be costing me points when I am forced to use harder tyres.

I think you are safe. I doubt 4 below below you will score points to leapfrog you. Last season I think 8 or 9 points was needed.
I've found success breeds success this season. Get some good results early on and the driver motivation improves, sponsors stop hating you and you win enough cash to push a little more in the next one.
Always good to start the season strongly.

I'm already set up for a much longer first stint in anticipation of being blocked!

Good season all. Lots of great performances and some rivalries to boot. It will be funny if Gabor and myself promote into the same league again.. ;)

Well done to the top 7 on promotions, hope ye do A32 proud!
Your pace was extremely strong Jason, and you've got cash again so I hope you do well in Pro.

Thanks Robert to be honest though if it wasn't for this driver's great run from rookie through to pro I would have stayed for another season or two in Ama to build some cash.
Also struggled a bit sometimes with strategy so that could prove my undoing at the next level. As it stands I can get a taste of pro with a driver who is not longterm and hopefully get some retention points in early so I can choose between keeping this one or buying a new one for training. If I drop back I start with a Sho style driver cheap, young and ready for development.
This has been a memorable couple of seasons though in A32 good luck everyone.
