I had a win, thought I had it all and it was plain sailing, then a couple of wet races that I had completely wrong, and I'm struggling now. I just got dumped out of the cup too after getting a problem wiht the car in the last race. Still, there's always next season! Good to meet you Neal

I think I'll be good for next season. I've worked out a lot of the important stuff just by being aware of the real life strategy that takes place in motor sport, I just hoped for a different stategy than the ones presented at both wet races. If I'd ignored the rain I think I would have cracked it. After the win, I asked a team mate for a little fuel advice and ended up pitting on the last lap. I still came third though, luckily.
Let's race!, and good luck

I <think> I'm good with fuel. When I've taken advice I've fallen at the last lap or two, Haha.
I just need to look after my money a bit better this season, and try to work out the driver's market a bit better as I signed my guy I have at the moment for a long term deal before I knew what I was doing, then ran out of money to re sign him for half of this season, knowing I wouldn't be able to sign him at his stat level once the season had started...
I'll take my time finding someone cheap this year.
Good luck with this season Neal, I think last season we were pretty neck and neck over the last few weeks.

Yea.. got lucky and got a decent driver very cheap.. he´ll be enough for me to promote this season...
There's no trick with money, just be wise when spending on car upgrades and you should be fine.

Last season was a prep season, wasn't really pushing, this season I WILL...... got the wrong strategy first race, I think I got a bit lazy on setup, but won't happen again

Haha, I have just been too aggresive on fuel, had to pit within last two laps second race. I had a random which ruined a potential win in the first. I think I've got Indianapolis sorted...(famous last words)

I can't remember the last race I've done it perfectly with Pole, FL and win... lol.. great feeling again.
Oh.. .you've been having a hard time huh?
|
|
|
Not a hard time, I had both so far pretty darned close, just the random and that was my first. Congrats on the win, your first since coming back to Rookie? And the hat-trick.
Looking at your flag, I guess you'll be following the local football tournament closely... May it be The land of Graham Hill Vs Ayrton senna in the final:-)

Actually my second win.... I won a race last season, but got the first hattrick since I got back.
That would be a great final.... :D

Congrats today. A minute lead over the 2nd place is some going. I just can't seem to get the hang of the wet start/ random rain races. I thought my tactic of running away until it stopped then whacking dry tyres on would work out well for me, but by the tenth lap with my dries I was almost a minute back.
More research is obviously needed. I had high hopes for the start of this season, and had nothing back for my efforts.
sob.

Yeah, GPRO has some tricks ... ;) It's needed to understand a bit more the % of rain to know when rain will start/ stop, know when to push for a win or when to wait a bit, or else you'll end up without cash in the end of the season. :D

I've started to get some pioints, two good races and now I'm breathing down your neck Neal:-)

Had a couple of races with a bad strategy... I forgot that ppl in rookie use 100% Risk.

|
|
Haha. It seems it sometimes!
|
|

Richard.. that|s some good qualify... managed to do it better then i did.......

I tried some 'wet weather ' in q2 and it worked! I had a little advice from a few friends as well. Thanks for the words, I'm kind of guaging my performance against yours so far this season. We've got a few real pros in our group this year, and getting anywhere near them is proving a little frustrating!
Good luck in tonight's race:-) May it rain when you want it to, and the sun shine for the rest
