This game has lost it few seasons ago with recent changes on speed.
I mean.. My car repair:
Engine lvl 6 99% wear -> lvl 6 0%
FWing/Rwing 6lvl 82% wear -> lvl 5 69%
Brakes lvl 6 85% wear -> lvl 7 0%
I slowed down by 0,5sec! This is worth 250motivation in many of the tracks!

Welcome to Season 67!
Welcome to the leafy edition of GPRO, also known as Season 67!
This season we've made a tweak to the way your cars adjust to the tracks depending on their PHA (power, handling, acceleration) values. The tweak is aimed to increase the importance of PHA matching, meaning that cars that fit the PHA character of the track will have a bigger advantage than cars that don't.
By the way GPRO is now on Instagram (not that we know for what it is used), so go ahead and follow us here.

It's about the impact of changes & things that no longer make sense. Such as in my example. Obviously, this is not only thinking short term, but long term as well for the game, f.e., driver development & driver market

It does make sense to me, this is not a race I'd go for a fresh high level engine. Why you would is what I do not understand.

I do not see how this change has a negative impact on the game overall, to be honest. As in your example about drivers and long term, a good planned push with a not so developed driver is now more possible than ever, giving the managers the time they need to develop those.

Power went up, Accel went down. On a track like Singapore you should feel lucky to only lose 0.5s ;)
