Quote ( Josh Clark @ April 30th 2020,19:55:53 ) If GPRO was run by a self-learning AI, we would have 900 races in a season, one every hour, 25 pts for a win, an on-site 100% accurate calculator, and a live pitstop button :) The most disturbing part from this AI is that 1 year ago the paddock girls would have been replaced by children. Not that I am against the children, but I prefer these girls.

'You have come because you know something. What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your whole life, felt that something is wrong with the site. You don't know what, but it's there. Like a bearded Greek man in your mind, driving you mad. It is this feeling that brought you to me. Do you know what I'm talking about?'
'...the point system?'

I'm sorry if someone brought this before, most probably, but I can't find it right now. :-)
It's about the weather. :-D Not, not about how the current prediction is interpreted.
Suppose a prediction for tomorrow, Sunny most of the day with a few clouds once a while, temperatures between 12º and 24º and some humidity. But the next day it was 13º to 26º and a slightly different humidity too for a few minutes even rained 10% (in the real world percentage, just a few drops that would hardly wet your t-shirt).
Nothing weird, no anomalies, but the report wasn't quite there. Which can happen quite often. And once in a long while could happen something a lot more unexpected. Like an anomaly. Could have rained heavily (I just don't want to bring many percentages here), and everybody in the beach had to run and take cover for some minutes too.
This could happen in some quarter of a race once a while. Only I think it would have to change the amount of rain in the game. I believe it's always the same amount of rain. But even so, temperatures and humidity could go off the prediction a bit and could rain or not when not predicted, more or less often.
If you like the unpredictability and randomness.

Are you any good at Archery? Hunt?

Decidedly mediocre really but it is relaxing.
Nope. Not sure it is something I would be interested in and is illegal to hunt with a bow here in any case.
Can't be a fair weather archer, especially in Ireland. I mean driver. Need to practice in the rain or you won't be good in the rain.
|
|
|
I love archery. It seems I have a natural ability but I'm probably less adept than you. It's been many years since I drew a bow :(
I don't hunt either but I know a few people that do. I take my camera to hunt :)
It 'looks' like we have a full 55 lap wet race. A short and a long stint might work if the tires last and no weather change. That might result in a good finish but that could be a poor choice of strategy, too!

"However it is important to look at the weather forecast for the race before deciding on your starting race tyres. If the forecast says that there is a very low chance of rain in the first 30 minutes of the race it means that the rain will stop, usually after a few laps. You will need to decide if you want to start on rain tyres and pit after just a few laps or start on dry tyres and lose a little time at the beginning of the race but not have to make a pit stop."
CONFLICT RULES!

Then, @Vladimir Alexandrov (R3) , please remove start acc and randoms 😂
