I have a question. I'm in amateur now. My driver has contract for 17 races and his overall skill is 130. If I won't manage to promote to pro, my driver will leave or he will stay?? And if he leaves, do I have to pay half of his contract??

He will stay until the contract runs out.
One thing to add is that you won't be able to renew his contract after those 17 races, so you will lose him after race 11 in season 17.

Not when he's in Pro next season and the driver OA is 135 or less.

Indeed, sorry. :)
By why assume you won't promote? Lukas is not far away, so go for it! ;)

I have a similar question. My driver's OA is 95, and it looks like I'll be promoted to Amateur next season. I don't know what the allowed OA is for drivers in that group, though. Is it below 95?

the rules really are worth a read
• Managers in Amateur groups cannot offer contracts to drivers with overall higher than 110
and that also applies to extensions. I should also point out that if you havent already extended his contract and his OA is 95 (and he only has 1 race left) then you will not be able to resign him anyway)

Yea all 7500+ words of it. :)
I do get lost occationaly when reading the rules.
I always forget to say this suggestion so here it is while I remember.
Is it possible to add quick links and a contents along the top to take you to each title? There is certainly nothing wrong with the way it is but things can be made easier.

press Ctrl+F which will open a search field in your browser.

I do get lost occationaly when reading the rules. I think it's not too hard to find for example the point 3.1 Driver
The rules are quite well organized, the point of reading them properly is that when you need to verify something, you'll already have a general idea of where to find what you're looking for.
Whilst you do that, the rules will stick, and without noticing you will have memorized them :)

That is useful and I use myself but some words are a nightmare to find.
Driver being the worst.
From a newbie point of view the rules go in stages well. I cant remeber what I specificaly wanted to find but it was very important at the time and it took me ages.

For this particular question "driver" is the worst search word. A better one would be "overall" or "driver overall"

Though I'd bet that at that time some of the rules got stuck in your memory, and you don't have to look at it again :) reading and re-reading will make them stick :)

I was going to mention this but I quite like Lee's idea. It would do no harm in having tabs to go to certain sections of the rules and would be quicker than searching using Ctrl+F. It isn't a big deal but don't imagine it would take long to implement and would be handy when just checking a rule.
Maybe worth making a topic about it so it doesn't get lost here where it doesn't belong though.

You can do it. You have my permission. So at least I dont get shot down :)
The reason I mention it is that I agree with the general philosophy of if it isn’t broken don’t fix it. But if it can be more efficient then it should.

"if it ain't broke...don't fix it". I'll remember that for the next time you have a tech problem that you pit for. ;p

I might comment that my intention was not to "shoot it down", the intention was more just to ask if it is necessary as there is a search tool in the browser itself.
