I'm expecting Massa to pull one on Alonso screaming.... NOT BAD FOR A NUMBER TWO DRIVER ;)
|
|
|
I just hope Vettel doesn't win...
|
|
|
He will, but Webber is better over a race so not sure.
|
|
|
They say it's extra dirty off line here so Webber and Massa will have a hard time off the grid. Wonder if bratboy can screw up the start anyways, and what can Alonso and Hamilton do from the clean side?

Its legal ,Mclaren even tried copying it but couldn't because they don't understand how it works.

THOMAS FOR GOD SAKE.... Just because you hate Vettel doesn't mean everything Red Bull does is illegal, it's been tested and passed legal stop saying it's an exploitation of the rules.

Well guys qualifying is done and the McLarens have been disappointing to say the least Jenson didn't even make Q3, even Ferrari said they worked out their car is working better on this track without the F duct I'm tipping those guys will well and truly be back when Monza comes around. This race will be a Red Bull 1-2 unless something goes horribly wrong.
|
|
|
If red bull can sort out their race problems, they will destroy everyone else tommorow. Ferrari and Renault will impress aswell but Mclaren were very dissapointing today, especially Button.

It is an exploitation of the rules though. They have CLEARLY made it flexible under high loads, which is why the FIA's test didn't pick anything up.

whats your view on the "flexible front wong" i actually think McLaren have a point here Obviously Ferrari and RedBull have found a way around the tests that are being made, so its legal when its actually against the 'spirit' of the rules. Just the same as a double/triple/bla/blown diffuser or the f-duct, just clever engineering and interpretation of the rules. As Whitmarsh said, either their engineers are too stupid or its illegal. Its not illegal, the rest is up to McLaren to find out ...

Completely agree with that one.

That happens when officials only use a red light that tiny from a driver's view:|
And it seems they can't wave with their arms, pathetic.

And if I remember the onboard correctly there was a man standing in front of it.

I'll put all my money, Webber's car will move more to the left then forward at the start.

Just saw it again.
The steward could have jumped infront of his car to point out that he should enter the first garage, but because he was a scared rabbit, he didn't.

They have designed it so that the FIA can't prove anything. We all know they're cheating with it, because it's aiding their speed massively.
You are a redbull fanboy though, so I'm not surprised you wont listen.
I'm not sure about Ferrari's. It doesn't go as low, but it seems to be going to low still. It should be banned.

this could quite easily describe how Ferrari cheated in Germany too Yet, this thing is allowed (as it shoud be until rules are changed to clearly prohibit it and tests are changed to measure it properly .. which will most likely not be before next season) but the other thing got a punishment. Neither of these things should really be punished. You could tell Alonso or Hamilton in a constant loop that their teammate is faster, they wouldn't let them past, so that doesn't really prove anything.
PS: I know it was team order, common sense makes that clear for everyone, I just still think you can't really prove it.
E: Just found this statement by Whitmarsh, I think he says it all: "If you can get your endplates down by the ground they can get more efficiency. And if they [Ferrari and RedBull] are doing that in a clever and legitimate way then we need to do it in that clever and legitimate way."

"Four Formula 1 drivers have been given reprimands for failing to stay above the minimum lap time set by the FIA ECU during qualifying in Hungary.
The rules state that "drivers must stay below the maximum time set by the FIA between the safety car line after the pit exit and Safety Car line before the pit entry."
The rule was introduced earlier this year in order to avoid drivers going too slowly back to the pits.
Renault's Vitaly Petrov, HRT's Sakon Yamamoto, Virgin's Timo Glock and team-mate Luca di Grassi have been reprimanded for driving too slowly following the end of the qualifying segments.
The maximum time in Hungary was one minute and 26 seconds."
Smart to set the maximum time faster than HRT qualified. No wonder Yamamoto couldn't drive faster than that, but Senna could despite his qualifying lap being slower?

Well the safety car line is about 10 seconds closer than the start/finish line
