We suffered a tyre puncture early in our most recent race. Wouldn't the pit crew just replace the tyre instead of my team suffering from a tyre puncture the reast of the race?

you didn't suffer the rest of the race, you DNF'd. Sometimes punctures are fatal

Only if the car could have made it back to the pits what it obviously couldn't. It's the same as in real F1. If they can't make it back to the pits they are out of the race.

You were probably not close enough to the pits to replace the tyre. That is probably the explanation that the game engine would give you.

According to your race commentary, the tire puncture damaged your suspension. Sorry for your bad luck.

Indeed, the random last race cost me $10m and wrecked my plan. :(

Random. Must live with it. It's part of the game and wont go away. Aside from the puncture itself, I think the most 'fatal' event was the damage to the suspension that follows it.
Therefore, even if you could have made it to the pits (thinking real live-wise), you'd be with a 99% suspension. No way out of that, unfortunatelly.
Got 2 of these in 65 races, so if the average frequency keeps that way, I wont complain.
And lets see another angle: Elite twice times champion Edvinas just got a tyre puncuture himself in this race.

i bet no1 had this problem before & if they did i feel sorry for them. happened on Spa last season

Technical problems
Lap 33 The engine was losing power
Lap 35 Your car had a puncture and could not finish the race
2 tire punctures within 14 laps... destroyed my suspension that i just bought went from lvlx x% to very much more x% wear
please don't post exact data

Risk doesn't have anything to do with it. It is just a random event and therefor unlucky :-(

Look at it this way....
you had 2 punktures in one race...
better then having 1 in 2 race's
