I don't remember if I have been behind a few laps (might just as well be the case) - but the lap number is not from the live race but from the race report.

Simone, you completed only 52 laps because you were already 6 laps down behind leader

Stefan,it seems you are 4 laps behind so you completed only 50 laps

Both occasions are not enough to cover %90

Ah, ok, I didn't watch the live race so I didn't know in which lap I actually dropped out.

Maybe that is something that should be considered to show differently in the race report.

Reading

Lap 53 1:45.445 33 Medium Partially Cloudy 32° 66% Car problem
Lap 54 - 34 Medium Partially Cloudy 31° 66% Dropped out

doesn't really make it clear. :)

It's a well known b... ^h^h feature :-)

If you finish the race, you cover the full distance of the race, even if you are several laps behind the leader. Similar thing happens if you drop earlier.

I guess it's because of the way how parts & tires wear and fuel consumption equations are designed.

It was lap 54 you actually left the race, but you had had car trouble so fell 4 laps behind, so when you dropped out on lap 54, you had only really completed 50 laps.
It does show this in race summary, but I am guessing you were looking at past race set ups.

Hello guys...

I think I have a problem ...

I arrived at 22 laps behind the leader but I did all 57 laps ...

the prize for the race is half ... and that's ok ... but because the wear have been calculated for 57 laps when I arrived at 22 laps behind the leader?

the rule is "The income from the race is calculated according to the 90% race distance rule"...

or I have traveled all 57 laps and I am entitled to the entire premium as the wear or if I got 22 turns away the prize is half but the wear to be calculated on a distance of 57- 22= 35...

the rule is clear ... speaks of distance covered ...

If you just look back several posts (last page if you're on 50 posts a page), and you'll see the same thing being discussed. It is, simply, how the game works - no bug.

Quote ( Jukka Sireni @ March 4th 2014,16:53:36 )

For fuel, tyre, part wear etc. calculations you did 80 laps. For determining the income, you did 71 laps.

This applies to you, but with 57 laps and 35 laps.

but I think that the rule is unclear why should talk away from the winner and not of race distance ... the two are very different ...

Now I am going to read more ... 50 pages ... :(

So you're complaining that you tried to game the system (wet tyres on dry track, pitting every 2 laps) and your 'strategy' backfired? And yet that is the game's fault?

Right.........

I think this 90% rule is entirely logical. The race earnings are cut by half because your performance was not really good enough to make the league. At the end of the race (by the winner) you are 22 laps behind and you then have to complete the race distance to finish, which means wear etc is based on full race.

If it wasn't like this, people would moan that they did not get good race data and had earnings cut so a double penalty.

a small tip; if you want to save money, go with a driver with 1/3 of the salary you are giving your driver now ;-) That's about 17m per season in savings.

Trololololol In rookie/am and probs pro you'll finish max 2/3laps behind if setup isn't good or have an issue with car. Just calculate on full distance. Not going to make that much difference in rookie/amateur I wouldn't have thought.
For the last 4 races someone in my group has pitted every 2 laps for fuel. Not sure what there trying to achieve there. I'm beginning to root for him however... before every race I'm like go Oliver Oolup, go!

Hello,
Could an admin please have a look at my race 17 income.
The last race was 60 laps *0.9= 54 laps needed to be completed in order to earn full income. I completed 55 laps before dropping out but I only received 50% of my race income.
Please let me know if this is a bug or what I am missing here because right now I don’t understand why I am only receiving 50%?
Thanks!
