That shouldn't have been a red card totally changed the game too, btw same ref as the one that got Chris Hoy hatemail from Spurs fans.
|
|
|
Jordan, maybe that's the English rule. It should be a red card where I live.

The referee has got to use common sense.
No, players should. What did he think, "if Nani isn't as stupid as he looks and gets out of the way I can charge in like a moron"?
Quote ( Jordan Randall @ January 8th 2012,14:33:49 )
There is no consistancy in referee's these days
That's true but unavoidable without waiting for replays every time.

The ref has lost control of the game
EDIT: wouldn't be surprised if there was 1 more red card in this game

man united scored when there was 11 city players on the pitch.
|
|
|
Bring Collina back from retirement and put him into Premier League now because after two seasons nobody will even think about tackling.
|
|
|
But city were in complete control up to that point.

ok. that's 1-0... not 3-0... And if Hart the keeper?
|
|
|
Don't talk about what ifs, blame Mancini for not playing him.

And if Hart the keeper? That`s not the referee`s fault though. :P

Ye, heard about it last week...didn't know apple even have anything to use TV rights with?
That's what I thought too, but evidently they're wanting to make something big happen for their Apple TV product they're pushing I think. Only thing that makes sense to me.
Sorry to interrupt the team/player talk, ha.

It wasn't a red card anyway, 2 footed yes, but he won the ball and didn't even touch Nani, bad decision again by a referee
Rule- A player who goes in 2 footed and catches the opposing player is liable to a instant red card, but if he wins the ball the referee in play can deem it to be a fair tackle, or if found to foul in the referee's eyes, a yellow card
BBC Radio 5 live pundit Robbie Savage on Vincent Kompany's dismissal at the Etihad Stadium: "He's won the ball. It was not malicious and he's not touched Nani. For me that is not a red card. The referee has got to use common sense. Should have been a yellow card at best."
^Note this is a neutral view, as i support Liverpool
robbie savage is a joke!!!! he would of still been rolling around like a girl, anything he says take with a pinch of salt!
the fact of the matter was that he didnt have to commit to a 2 footed tackle near half way line. he could have won that with just his right leg, hence why when he made the scissor movement with his left leg, it was deemed excessive force. to be fair though it was 50/50 tackle and i do think it was harsh but he didnt do himself any favours
swings and roundabouts; in the past 3 games v city weve had 2 reds (scholes in semis & evans) and city cant complain 2 much we should have had another penny at 3-1. they were lucky we are playing crap atm or they would have got 'gunnered'
bring on liverpool!!!!!!

Man U vs Bolton 3-0 Full time

I found this comment funny on MOTD earlier.
"I don't think Chelsea can win the league. I think they are too far adrift and are not a good enough side. Fernando Torres is beginning to look the part but luck has deserted him and he has now gone 14-and-a-half hours without scoring a goal for club or country."
I wonder if his 150,000 a week makes him feel better? ;)
