There are more and more youngsters joining Formula One nowadays, but who do you guys rate to be better than the rest, who in your mind will become the next Formula One World Champion.
Can any of them??
I certainly think so...

Maybe the term - 'Slightly less experience' works better
But even then... Sutil and Kova have been around a while now lol haha

Vettel, Hamilton and Alonso are likely to share several titles between them over the coming seasons...it's hard to see anyone else breaking through for a while.
In spite of this, I said Kobayashi...although if Kubica can come back and on the form he was in in 2010 you have to throw his name in the hat, if he qualifies as a "youngster" ;)

Hmmm....I will go through everyone
Buemi - Decent driver, wont get much higher than top 10 or so in the final standings for a season at his best, cant see red Bull promoting him to the first team
di Resta - If he gets the Mercedes seat in 2013 he can be at McLaren/Ferrari in the future and definitely challenge for the world championship I think
Ricciardo - Looks good so far at a terrible HRT car, talk about signing for Red Bull i 2013, could be champ by 2016 or so if he gets that seat(unles Vettel becomes 100% unbeatable which he nearly is already :L)
Senna - Not a bad driver, with a full time seat at Renault he can fnish top 10 in championship, but he wont be champion as he isnt good enough, name isnt always everything :L
Kobayashi - Aggressive and loved driver who I want to see do great! He is doing well in a Sauber so he can do well in a Red Bull and win races, plus would love to see him and vettel team mates, or him and Hamilton, because they would collide about 4 times a season :P haha
Perez - Clearly a talented driver and he will nly improve over time, I am sure I heard Ferrari want him in the future, I think he could do well there and be up for championship challenge :)
Sutil - Kinda past it now. 5 years at Force India/Spyker, he is never gonna get a top 2-3 teams drive and wont be champion
Kovalainen - Same scenario. Didnt take his chance in a strong McLaren in 2008, and was outclassed by Hamilton so isnt good enough of a driver to be World Championship I think
Petrov - Dont see what they all see in this guy, he is doing poor this season as he was last season at renault and I doubt he can be champion, top 10 is as far as he will go I think :L
I can see Riccardo/ di Resta having the best shot :)

I think there is one youngster that is very promising and might win! Michael Schumacher! He started racing just a few seasons ago, must be young one

Yeah, but Kova's dead for me after he left McLaren. And Sutil is Sutil, 'nough said.

Doesn't quite work for Buemi either, he's been there since '09.
Since when do you watch F1 btw?

Yeah thats a BIG 'IF' Kubica comes back and ON form...
But yeah I agree with the titles going to Vettel, Alonso, Hamilton and even Button... But if one of these 'Youngsters' (haha) steal on of the bigger names' seats... and get a better car they could easily be fighting for the title.

If Schuimi still qualifies as a youngster with little experience then i am going to start my professional karting career next week...world champion 2031 at the tender age of 50, coming up. :p

How is Alguersari not on that list. He is being bred to race at Red Bull is he not? He will be worth a shout

Haha Yeah ok point taken...
I have been watching F1 since 1995 sporadically (I was only 5 lol),
but from 1997 only missing 3 races so far...
Hopefully I will be working there soon :)

Sorry... I will try harder next time lol.
I don't rate him higher than the others on the list anyway ... Maybe on par with Buemi.

He is being bred by Red Bull? You know who Red Bull are right? So im guessing he has a better chance than most on that list. Im not saying it will defo go that way obv its my opinion. But hes got a good team behind him.

I agree Michael, that anyone at Red Bull's development team, Torro Rosso (Red Bull in Italian incase anyone didn't know lol, a laughably disguised 2nd team, which apparently isn't allowed in F1!) gains a considerable advantage, but you still need to show the talent and promise to progress to their 1st team, not everyone can be a Vettel, but who knows Algy has improved massively at TR albeit from a very, very, low point :-)
|
|
|
|
I think Jaime Alguersuari, Paul di Resta and maybe Ricciardo will be able to win titles in the futuree!
|
|
|
I agree with Keeney. Alguersuari should be on the list ahead of Sutil and Kovalainen at least.
Out of those on the list, Koba, di Resta and Perez are the most likely for me, but I also think Algy would have a chance if he can make it into the Red Bull team. But before that, he needs to keep his seat at Toro Rosso, and then if he manages that (which I think he will imo) he would need to regularly beat Ricciardo (more than likely to be at Toro Rosso next season) the season after.

And Sergio Perez is being bred by Ferrari... You know who they are right?
He has more of a chance of replacing the likes of Massa in the near future than Jaimie has of replacing Webber, they would rather see another driver in for a year or so before contemplating giving Jaimie a role next to Vettel as he simply isnt good enough yet... but hey thats just my opinion, what do I know?

I started watching full seasons from 1998 on, I seldomly miss GP's, even if it is a boring one.

To be honest, I don't think the situations are too different. Infact, it is more likely one of the Red Bull bred drivers will make it into the first team, than Perez will. Because surely Red Bull would promote one of their drivers, otherwise what would be the point of having a feeder team if you don't use it?
Besides, I can see Ferrari possibly putting in Rosberg or maybe Kubica (if he recovers) first, as they are more established drivers. But definitely, Perez should make it one day.

Vettel shall again win the F1 for the next season. But in future Perez is the best contender for winning a gp.

I think that we could consider also Jaime Alguersuari.. I think he's a great pilot.
