I was thinking since we can't do in race strategy change,then we can set a thing I call Scenario Type Strategy(Scenario in my dictionary is situation)
You can set up to 10 scenarios
1 scenario is like ____ laps _____ tyres _____position______fuel
You can also choose not to do this as this can be a feature in a tab name"advanced strategy settings"
You can also select what to set,like you can just set laps,tyres and podium excluding the fuel,so what do you think?

So why not expand in one of they topics? (And there are others)
Also, what you are suggesting is not very clear.
Stint distance (apart from weather changes) will always be determined by the fuel you have or your tyres not being able to last any more, as that is an important part of the game. Simplifying things by allowing you to pick exact laps to pit on, for example, is a massive no.

Post #1 suggests something and post #20 is a different suggestion. Both similar to what you are suggesting, I believe.

So thats why i said you can select what to choose from,when you deselect laps,then you can rely on pit stop time solely
Basicly,its only the position,or the laps can be selcted from range

But you are saying that you should have the option to choose which lap to pit on which I believe is totally wrong and massively against the whole data collection and analysis side of the game. There is no need to try and make the game easier, which is what I believe you are suggesting does, and that is discussed in the topic I linked you to in post #7.

It's the case for more than just me. If you disagree then you should explain why.
You've made a suggestion, but you haven't given any reason as to why you believe it would improve the game. I think it would just make it easier and remove a massive part of the game, which is not what most people want as can be seen from other threads suggesting the same, or very similar things.
If you believe that it would improve the game, then explain why so people have something to discuss.

I think its a nice idea, but it will take a lot out of the game and make it a lot less random.

Well once upon a time an Elephant broke out from a Zoo to steal some chocolate, he wasn't fighting for freedom just the taste of some brown sugary goodness. He made it all the way to Sainsburys when he was ambushed by the Zoo police. After some careful investigation it turns out that the elephant was in fact under the control of the naughty monkeys using an elephant mind control device. In the end the elephant was cleared of any wrong doings and returned to Mrs Elephant in the zoo and them pesky monkeys were given a stern talking to and their mind control device was confiscated.
Is that random enough or do you just mean in terms of the thread??

I think what he wants here is more strategy options based on race scenarios. Very unlikely to happen IMO.

You said the suggestion would make things a lot less random. What do you mean by that? I don't understand, which is why I asked "what do you mean by random here"? What would be less random?
Is there any reason to be a bit of a prick about it when it was a straight forward, legitimate question? :)

A little rude. However nice use of that name, which i feel is underused lately.
Randomwise here i mean with the aspects of the temps humidity driver risks etc. It would make the strategies more black and white and more predictable and would remove a lot of the skill

Thank you. I now understand why I was confused as I don't see anything about a strategy as being random (with the exception of changeable weather races, which haven't been mentioned here). Maybe a poor choice of wording?

Advanced options in any game put me right off, have played many online games where the scenario situation gets ridiculous, as summed up well by Winkley, checkbox for every scenario.
Cant see many new people staying if we had it, Ive left every game that has, its simply all a bit much, I cant be arsed.

I guess that it was my turn to pick up some bad luck; two extra pit stops in the last two races. The first happened within a pit window, so only ended up costing me 1 place (got 3rd instead of 2nd), and the second also fitted within my fuelling contingency, but cost me 6 places (7th instead of 1st), though I did pick up a fastest lap due to it.
I guess that I must be the luckiest unlucky person in the game. :|
