Why would the driver leave:
1) He has a contract 2) He's getting paid 3) He's getting paid for doing nothing.
I want a job like that!
|
|
|
But He is losing His practice And He is Not getting opportunity to showcase his talent and improve his skills .
Let's say If Ferrari Say They Will not race For a season and Vettel has a contract he would surely Leave Instead of wasting a year .

Jonathan Woodgate had a job like that, especially after he signed for Real Madrid. :)

To have a tick box option in your account settings where if you go to watch your race live but it has already started then you will automatically be directed to the start of the race if it's your first visit to the race page during the live race.
Not a rare event for me to start watching the live race at say 7-30pm - 8-30pm GMT and I generally have to close 1 eye whilst clicking the back the first lap button so as to not find out what's already happened in terms of position and spoil the excitement of watching the laps I missed live.

|
|
If you click the |< button it will take you back to the grid.
Good idea though.
What is in the water this weekend? Two simple but solid suggestions.

Great idea

Quote ( Michael Winkley @ April 24th 2016,11:55:27 ) Where is Matt Kasar? We've done some analysis and discovered that for minor changes it's often enough if only one of us signs off. For some issues even a drunken thumb up is fine
However, when an ex member of the crew also supports an issue our powers wane considerably

Used to do exactly the same thing, but I discovered that asking my wife to get me back in 1st lap is much more better!
LOL

Very good suggestion Paul.

Haha, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I often turn my head (yeah, looking idiot at that moment) the way that I see only the top right corner and then go to lap 1 :D
So yeah, there seems to be many of us who would like that addition.

@Michael Winkley
That's the button I press but with one hand over the race graphics (using tablet or mobile) and the only open eye trying to find the |< button without it focusing on the position of my driver. Bit like me trying to type a text message after half a bottle of rum.

Hope this makes sense, and you get the idea i'm trying to get at -
How many laps should the driver: Wait to pit if it starts raining: 0 (0 - 75) Wait to pit if it stops raining: 0 (0 - 75)
I think it would be a good idea, if we could have a few more options when you want or not to pit i.e like this race and many races before when your trying to second guess the weather and you think it may only rain for 5 laps so you would like to stay out on dry tyres. As i read it at the moment you could run a whole race on dry tyres but also on wets or just allow for 1 lot of rain ??
1st stint - Wait to pit if it starts raining: 0 (0 - 75)
Wait to pit if it stops raining: 0 (0 - 75)
2nd Stint - Wait to pit if it starts raining: 0 (0 - 75)
Wait to pit if it stops raining: 0 (0 - 75)

Did you stay out on dry tyres by any chance, Simon

Nope 8-)
But it's just rained for 8/9 laps maybe instead of doing 4 pit stops you could reduce it by 1 or 2 especially with it being a long in/out pit
EDIT- 25.5 in/out pits + average pit stop 20-25 seconds

I think having a note pad on the 'driver shortlist' screen would be nice...make a note as to exactly why this driver is on the list. Thnx

Suggestion, regarding size of rookie groups and speed of progress through the learning curve for new players.
Allow, only in rookie, a manager under one login to run a 2 car team. Rookie group grids go instantly from 8 to 16 cars. New players with half a brain can do direct comparo's on anything they want to check out. When they promote they have to chose one car/driver to take to amateur.

Hm pretty radical. I think this should be restricted to only the first full season. Aside from that, should be cool
|
|
|
Do they pick up 18 points if they finish first and second in the race?

First question so go easy on the new guy... Would they necessarily be in the same group? Or would it keep more rookies interested if they had to manage two cars in different groups?
|

It would have to be different groups.
|
|
|
I think different groups would be better.

I like it :)
Although thinking deeper, what would happen to the driver market? Or the amount of bids a manager may make per market?
Would finances be split individually for the cars or would the manager use one bank for both - and would they then start with more money? Maybe an entire separate office page would work well?
Would managers choose which driver contributes to the statistics or would they take the best one, or something else? And team points or other things. Perhaps managers choose 1 car to be a sort of ghost car which doesn't get any of its success recorded, only data?
Love the idea, just trying to see where it would go :)

Would have to be two totally separate accounts, if its to learn the game and gather data, that would be better anyway. I guess its for those on the first rookie season? What if they join only a few races before the end?

I'd say anyone in rookie, not just newbs. And I'd say one login but two separate car/driver combo's. one bank account for each side with the currnet starting money and the same Q/race/sponsor payments.
Make people learn, don't give an avenue to exploit 2 cars with.
