Quote ( Attila Nagy @ July 28th 2017,22:03:36 ) Hm, so annoying google ad block/window at the center bottom of the screen, it hides some race screen/cars, the most interesting part of the track, the straight. :( Of course it can be hidden after some clicks, but why can't be displayed in a better place? You can remove it entirely and have a nice, clean view. Just be a supporter :)

Oh my God! It was so much fun to watch the race live! Great job guys!!!!

It may not be for mobile, but if you press the little "car" button on the top left it lets you see the "classic view"....or you can go OLD SCHOOL and go way back to the text page....(is that still a thing?)
You are 15.....chill.
It looks very, very good on PC. Much improved and gives some life to the game! Could very well see it helping this game come back to life a little.

I came back to this game after I saw the new Live Race screen... I'M WELL IMPRESSED. Nicely done! Although I'm missing a bit of info - like commentary, if possible; if not, it's not a big deal!

Trae, you need to be way more respectful to the likes of Jukka in my view.
The guy is just a regular person who loves this game and took it upon himself to learn some stuff and help take the game forward.
I think you should be showing a lot more appreciation in that direction instead of throwing what seem like quite offensive insults to me.
Obviously you have no idea how much time he's put into it, but not just him, Vlad, Hans and the rest of the crew. Had you played this game many season's past you'd realise how much of a leap this is to what we ever saw before.
Not only that, you'd realise the huge effort required for improvements to be made on the game when there's fewer supporters and not only that, less time for devs to involve themselves with this game compared to when it started.
What we've experienced and witnessed the past few months has been a massive undertaking and i'm sure the more mature members of the forum, or not even mature but just sensible/reasonable minded ones...will realise and appreciate all the work that's gone into it.
So, button your mouth or bugger off somewhere else if you don't like what has been produced from a lot of free time. Yes, free time.

The race view had me nursing a semi for 77 laps straight. Impressive stuff to say the least. The race view I mean.

Will be tough to see anyone beat that line for post of the season.

Great, 'Nursing a semi' Me too mate. First time I watched a race on live race screen. Enthralling because you have soo much invested.

I'd say the pain is much worse. Reminds me of being a teenager and holding a (rock as f...) stiffy all night and then the pain afterwards.
Ok, not quite that bad, but it comes almost as close. I can only keep it up that long now with a few pints inside. That's just between us lot on here tho ;)

Imagine if there was sound? That would be amazing.

Could we have an account setting so that we go to the old race screen by default?
I mostly watch on mobile, which I find a bit awkward with the new screen, and clicking the 'car button' to go to the old screen opens it in a new window - also a bit awkward on mobile.

I have two suggestions, which might be good, or not, u decide :]
1st Suggestion: That ad we see in a live race screen, it's positioning is obstructing the race screen, could there be a posibility to:
a) Make a track a little biger so it won't obstruct the racing line/track. b) Make users to be able to position it on the screen wherever they want c) We still have that big black bar at the top, it could maybe fit there ?
2nd Suggestion: I noticed that watching race replays which are not yours, dos not show the gaps between the cars on that black bar at the top ? Could it be possible to make it visable ? I know u can see gaps on "Gaps" bar on your right, but that bar blocks some of the race screen and because we can only toggle one of those at the time, it would be nice to see that at the top as watching your own race :]

Quote ( Jay De Snoo @ July 28th 2017,21:52:51 ) And here is a millenial who thinks everything should work for him and him only.
And for free :)
Or better yet, Gpro should pay him to use the shiny viewer :P
on a more serious note:
It takes quite a lot of time and effort to make the viewer
Obviously the priority is to make it work (in general)
1) PC 2) Tablet 128) Mobile
That being said, ensuring it works on PC and tablet isn't so different, but when it comes down to mobiles, there is some ways to go.
PC & Tablet serves the main portion of the audience.
For sure it could be helpful to have mobile optimization some day, but any individual who would give it even a slight amount of thought can see that it can't be main priority

Quote ( Matt Kasar @ July 29th 2017,00:25:50 ) why is opening a new window awkward? Because then I can't just use the 'back' button to go back to the office. And every time I click the 'back to office' button (which I have to zoom in on), and then click the button to the live race, and then click on the old race screen, I get yet another window opening.

I can't imagine how much stress this must cause you
or, on the other hand, you could consider getting a life? Not compulsory but I would seriously consider it if I were you

tell you what though, I was fiddling around with my iphone as one does, you know the bit that comes up when you tap the bottom of the screen for a new window / view opened windows. Well, basically I hadn't closed the opened windows for freaking yonks cos I have this habit of just tapping Safari every time I wanna browse for something and then not bothering to close it. You don't wanna know how many I had to close down so I kinda see Andrew's point. However, it was my fault of course, there must have been at least 100 of the things :)
and before anyone gets funny....

You are telling us, u closed down all of them manualy, one by one ? I mean, dosin't safari have an option to close all at once ?
|
|
|
If it does, it isn't a feature on the SE version. I have to close them all individually.
Unless there's some other way to close them away from the browse open windows button.
I am not the best person when it comes to mobiles tho so i could have missed it. I only got it cos it saved me walking around with both a phone and an ipod in my pocket, otherwise I would never have bought it, I am a bit of a dinosaur in the mobile stakes :)
