Will use the red pit-crew for Jules instead.

It could be great to use both Marussia for Bianchi and a black pitcrew for the De Cesaris tribute.
Just my personal opinion.

Quote ( Mehdi El Fathy @ October 6th 2014,16:06:04 ) What a bloody horrible crash. In general I'm hardly shocked by crashes, but this one...
And there's still a bloody green flag.
I also saw that green flag in the video but I can tell you that it was correct. the green flag was waved at the spot of the accident indicating that the green section started right after that spot, there was a double yellow flag just ahead of the accident spot. Marshalls did it correctly.

I was writing this now ; Marussia livery and black pitcrew.
Mind-reading Dominik. :)

I will wear Marussia Livery even though Winkley doesn't want it which is up to him.
Bianchi was a potential replacement for Raikkonen and I hope he still will be!

Well anyway, that accident was avoidable.

I agree Mehdi, there should have been a safety car immediately after Sutil's crash and before the tractor was used.

How the hell was it avoidable??
1st- He might've not seen the double yellow flag because of limited visibility 2nd- He aquaplaned just like Sutil and the same corner and if you watch Sutil's crash replay, you can see he couldn't steer at all to prevent the crash! 3rd- There was a bloody typhoon you idiot! Like to see you race in those same conditions at the same speed going around and around a track, with limited visibility, and not crashing into a recovery vehicle!
|
|
|
I also noticed that when Bianchi crashed into the tractor, Sutil's car fell down to the ground by the force.

The best idea is to put vehicles like we can find in Monaco. Heck. We even have these ones during the Race of Morocco, so that is easily possible.

Looks really bad. The racecar's safety these days are so incredible!

the core problem was that there was a bloody recovery vehicle on the track, in a place where another car had just aquaplaned into, whilst the race was on. That WAS avoidable.

Marshalls did it correctly. They were waving double yellows up until Sutils car was raised on the recovery vehicle at which point they switched to waved green, despite the fact that both the Car and recovery vehicle were still not in a safe position. If the incident (quite correctly) required waved yellows why did it not require them just because Sutils car was no longer on the ground? This is what does not make sense. At the time of Bianchis crash green was being waved indicating that the hazard had been cleared, when it had not. It was also the only tower visible to drivers as they approached the crash site on the second part of Dunlop.

Looks like he lost the brake (and of course tyre grip) due to some aquaplanning in the track asphalt and the gravel that made his car went straight with that speed (not like usual speed when run to that run-off area) and noticed that Jules's car could lift off the tractor (weight=should be more than 3 tons) and dropped Adrian's car (Adrian's car was about 1,8 meter above the ground with weight about 600 kg) -> use physics's law to calculate it... Anyway hope him all the best... F1 with you Jules! #ForzaJules

Jules was really unlucky, he crashed real hard on the tractor, so hard it lifted the tractor and went underneath it... how much does the tractor weight? it's really impressive, if he can survive a horrific crash like this it's a miracle, let's hope he does!

How else was the recovery vehicle supposed to get to Sutil's car? It probably couldn't reach from other side of the tyre wall!

About the flag thing, one MP Motorsport engineer told me that having the green flag shown there means that AFTER this part of the track, you can race freely. Before that part, the yellow flag is here.
Strange.

Kindly control your language or we will have words about it, mate.
Also, a word for everyone: let's not post more of those videos. Some of them are rather graphical and are not suitable for some of the younger people around here.

Not sure "awesome" is a word I would use for this incident... Incredible that the car held up as well as it did and he's alive right now. Let's hope he can make a full recovery.

After looking at the video, I think that something broke in the car or Jules passed out before he crashed. It didn't look like he was slowing down or even trying to turn.

Nonsense. How could you even do something when your car is spinning, and even more in the rain?

Well I see that no one has yet to post an update, but there is one here:
http://www1.skysports.com/f1/report/28593/9504602/an-unconsc...
Apparently is condition is critical but stable, and that he is currently unable to breathe without a respirator, which is worrying for the moment.
Hope he can make a successful recovery.

Will use Marussia livery for next race, he isn't the best driver, but still nobody wants to get hurt.
