Grats Roland and Yoannis for R17! Exciting race to watch, especially cuz for once I had a nice viepoint ;-) Special congrats to Robin! Hey, we've both lived thru it :-D Thanks for all the support I got. Yes, Austria seems a decent track to play Morozov games. Of course it wasn't a full Morozov on my part - the extra pit's been missing. Still... I was quietly hoping for the 7th, may be 6th, but what the bolid was in fact doing was far beyond my expectations. Now, where is that atm, I'm gonna break into to replace the Skoda Fabia parts with the F1 level? :-D

This is the reflection of a massive tyre imbalance we have. we have 4 good tyre brands and 4 useless brands. And pipis.

One cannot easily understand why Contis are so much cheaper than BY in elite. However, this price maybe helps to keep an OBP tyre available for lower divisions (Avons could play this role, but not well enough).
I think that a decrease for both durability and dry perf would solve the problem currently. Better durability than Michis -> still OBP in elite possible.
Moreover, a decrease in the price for BY and H by 100-200k would help imo.
But those things cannot be easily done by admins.
1) tyres should be imbalanced to give some room for mistakes 2) tyre performance is changed by season track characteristics, other manager choices and peak temp. E.g. with 5 BRs, Contis would have been a bad decision.

As long as there is full tyre availability in the 3 top tiers, there will be a big unbalance. That can't be fixed with stat or cost changes, because the different tiers have different income as well. You can't solve the Contis issue in Elite (although I think it should, because this counter racing is becoming lame) without making them worse in Pro/Master, where they are already bad.
Pipis are bad all over the place but in Elite, where you can get rich with them even arriving dead last. Even if they were free, they would be very bad business in Pro and Master nonetheless.
The luxury tyres are a must for performance in Elite, but they are used in Pro and Master by rich guys to lay waste like if there was no tomorrow.
It goes on for every tyre. Fixing an unbalance will create unbalances in another leagues. Which is one of the reasons I never liked the addition of new tyres in the first place. But since we are already there, I wish they were league restricted. That would solve the most severe problems of all this mess.

Well, there are other options. Like, one supplier :-D
E: In fact, we've been experimenting with that option for some forty years plus, in Poland and the neighbourhood, after the WWII. It worked so well, it was extended to all other areas of interest, from washing powder to tv sets. You can't imagine how much easier the life is, say you come to buy a car and all the trauma of choosing the car's colour is missing cause there's only one to choose from :-)

Let's imagine the situation, that everyone in Elite would be allowed to change their tyres once more just before 2nd race of this season. Would this bring more strategic options to the game?
What would you change to if you had Michis atm? And if you had Contis atm? :)
