Just a newbie wondering, is getting 3 punctures in 3 races (2 of them during lap 1) just bad luck or should I get used to it?

These were most likely start crashes, maybe you have used too much starting risk.

Thats not normal or bad luck, accidents like that are usually risk related so thats where I suggest you start your troubleshooting. There is advice on risks on the forums and even some on the wiki I believe. :)

I knew this was going to be first answer :) No, I use 'avoid trouble' start strategy and 5 risk across the board.
So, bad luck, or normality?

Normal.
2 accidents at the start. It could just be bad luck (another car hitting you - using high risks). Or it could be your fault, if you're pushing hard at the start with high risks.

During the race, random. And it can happen 2-4 bad luck randoms per season, while many spend 10 seasons without any random. Normal.

And it is normal for the sponsor to complain as you take random. Cancel contract because of random, is normal, too.

Some bad information here.

A tyre puncture is random. Do check your race analysis for the reason for your race ending but if it is specifically for a tyre puncture then 3 in 3 races, while not impossible, is massively unlikely.

If it wasn't specifically a tyre puncture (as the lap 1 incidents suggest), then, depending exactly what it was, they can be things you can influence. Start incidents are down to your start risks and other managers' start risks around you. Other technical problems may be influenced by part wear and risks, but there is a random element so even new parts on low wear and low risks can fail, but it's much less likely than when very worn. Some things are totally random.

With regards to the sponsor point someone raised, a true random tech problem - one you can't influence - has a much reduced effect on exist sponsor happiness than other tech issues.
