I'd argue there are plenty, just those that are consistently off pace but not extremely.

If it would be an average of the results of the whole season, it would be fair for all the managers of a group! Otherwise its the same it is now! So current system is the best!

In a 30 drivers race 9th and 10th should win points too. For lots of amateur-group players is hard to reach a 10th place in the entire season.

No need to change. In ama all people with 0 points are ordered bybest place. So a 9th place will be in front of all the others. When you give 8th 3 points and 10th 1 point. This will not change anything at the standings.

Wow, it was 2003 when the new by that time points system appeared. How fast the time has flown.
I remember watching the Formula then and I think I stopped when the 25 points appeared.
And before 2003 it was a 8/6/4/3/2/1 right?

I stopped watching after Formula Libre. That was da shit. It that points system is used we should have this discussion at all.
1 point = first place
2 points = second place
3 points = third place
4 points = all other finishers (who completed the total distance).
5 points = all other starters.
6 points = non starters
|

For some players, to obtain a point in a difficult group, can be a great achievement, even can be the main goal of the season after avoiding relegation.

I really like Moto GP system, where TOP 15 get points.This system is simply outdated, maybe from season 80 let's try something new?

What do you even mean by outdated though? In a negative sense?
That's like saying the old colours used in UK electrical wiring are outdated. Literally they are indeed outdated because they were updated, but it's just another way it was represented. The way it works and the efficiency is exactly the same, it's just represented differently. There is nothing wrong with the old system and nothing better about the new system.
Points are no different.

Not entirely true the new colours mean that people who have the most common type of colour blind can now work safely as an electrician. So this could be deemed as 'better'

After ending a season you can see players who participated in only 1 o 2 races gaining points and they remain in higher positions than people who play the 17 races. I think that points should be given to more positions than the current 8.
