Luxembourg know that anything but a loss here will see them top the group - and they make the perfect start, as Joachim looks up from 20 yards out and lets fly with a dipping, swerving shot that the Ukrainian keeper can only stare at in disbelief!
It's all looking rosy for Luxembourg right now...

Brazil have certainly saved their best until the last group game, as they stun Poland with their ability to control the midfield and play attacking football. It looks like Augusto finally has his team playing the way he wants them to...and Neymar is the key to it all, as the Brazilian forward seems to be everywhere in the Polish half at once.
His 1st goal comes from some slack defending to present the ball on a platter - though it was he who forced the mistake! His 2nd is a work of individual brilliance, making his way past 3 defenders before a cheeky dink leaves the keeper stranded.
However, Brazil have never been the strongest defensively and with the half drawing to a close, Zieliński takes advantage of the fact that all eyes are on Lewandowski to sneak in at the far post and nod home an easy header to leave this game on a knife edge...

These two world cup debutants know that one slip could be the end of their World Cup and see them end up fighting for the World Plate - hence the opening 35 minutes being an incredibly cagey affair! However the last 10 minutes of the half see it spring into action, all thanks to Johannesen's pot shot from distance that completely evades Brown in the US Virgin Islands goal.
That galvanises the US Virgin Islands, who had arguably been the better team up to that point - and a brilliant team move involving no less than 20 passes sees Taylor slipped in one-on-one with Nielsen...and the Midfielder picks his spot sublimely to level the scores. And that would send the US Virgin Islands into the Round of 16 if it stays like this...

Australia look like the team in charge here so far - but they have been unable to conver their possession into chances, with their only shot on target so far comfortably saved by Muric in the Kosovan goal.
This will suit Kosovo down to the ground though, as only an Australian win can deprive them from topping their 1st ever world cup group!

Goalless so far here, which could hand Romania the chance to go top of the group if it stays like this...though a draw would at least guarantee Spain a place in the knockout stages.
Stick or twist is the choice facing manager Laguna in the 2nd half...!

South Sudan push hard to create a convincing lead over the Austrians - and go into the knockout stages with a decent result behind them. Goals from Athiu and Pretino (both headers from crosses supplied by Nyuar) are enoughj to edge the African side ahead of their higher ranked European counterparts.
Whether they can hang on in the 2nd half is another matter though...

While it looked like Spain had left open a chance for Romania to jump to the top of the group, they have been far from convincing so far today vs South Korea! The Asian side have kept the Europeans at bay throughout and even had a decent chance of their own blazed over by their main striker.
Who will take this group by the scruff of the neck...?!?

Germany have completely marked Džeko out of the game and kept at least a couple of players on him at all times, which allows Hodžić to drift in unnoticed and chest the ball home at the back post! That jump-starts Germany's efforts as they realise a loss here sees them exit the World Cup to play in the World Plate...
...and first of all Reus rises highest from a corner to nod home the equaliser, before Werner answers all the transfer speculation surroudning him in the best way possible - with a goal scored in the air with an acrobatic scissor kick to move the Germans 2-1 up.
This may be too far for Bosnia to be able to come back...it will likely all come down to Kakni's team-talk!

Both sides are aware of the importance of defeating each other in this game - the winner goes to the knockouts of the World Cup, while the loser must settle for the World Plate Round of 32. A draw sees Estonia claim the Round of 16 World Cup spot...and a draw is what they have right now, just! They do score first thanks to Antonov's quick feet and quicker thinking that sees him spot the keeper off his line, so immediately hits a 1st time shot that puts them ahead.
Even better was to follow, as Sorga scored their 2nd of the game with a simple tap-in from 5 yards - though the Greeks are a tough opponent and manager Togas has them well-drilled. A change of formation and a couple of substitutes later and the Greek side are back in the game thanks to a Zeca shot from range and a Masouras back-heel that totally foxes Toom in the Estonian goal...
This one will go down to the wire!!!

Argentina look like they are struggling for fitness right now - and they are slow to defend against Iceland's attacks. Right now, they would be exiting the competition on Goals Scored - as Iceland take a 2-0 lead thanks to a brace from Sigurdsson - one a free kick and the other a header from a corner.
What can Argentina do to save themselves in the 2nd half...?!?

Chile take a surprise 1st half lead here, as they and the Netherlands look to be about to play out who makes the Round of 16 and who will be in the World Plate Round of 32. Chile strike the first blow as Puch heads home from a corner, before Pinares puts them 2-0 up and really has the Dutch under pressure.
However, Janga has his team well-drilled and eventually the Dutch do get on the scoresheet as Depay dribbles his way past two defenders before slamming home the goal that gives them hope for the 2nd half...

A real shock on the cards initially here, as the all-conquering Turkey concede early on to Rashid's dipping volley from 25 yards out. Despite a sustained period of pressure Turkey are unable to make any kind of impact on the scoreline until captain Belözoğlu imposes himself on the game by rising highest in the box to head home the equaliser on the stroke of half time...

A surprisingly tight game considering the French have a 100% record and are World #1, while the Japanese have lost every single one of their games. Japan score first through an angled Suzuki shot, before Varane rises highest to head home from a corner and level it up - though Japan are clearly keen to end the group stage on a high, with Ogawa smashing home the edge of the penalty area to resume their lead.
The French know that a loss here could cost them top spot in the group - and that desire to win is clearly reflected by Pogba's driving runs forwards, which finally the Japanese are unable to contain as he breaks through their defensive line to fire home what could be a crucial equaliser!

In this crucial winner takes all match-up, it is currently Hong Kong that are on top - as Wong fires them into the lead in the 22nd minute. Ghana do have a gilt-edged chance to equalise but Yapp in the Hong Kong goal is equal to the opportunity and preserves the Asian side's lead into the 2nd half...

This is a long awaited battle between two of the Top 10 ranked sides in the World right now! Sweden look a little lacking in intensity, as they try to hold possession up in the Midfield to secure the draw that will guarantee them top spot in the group.
However, the spanner in the works for the Swedes is Perišić, who torments the defence with his darting runs and refined positioning - and that ultimately pays off when he takes the ball under his spell in the 38th minute and jabs home the opening goal of the game!

A thrilling 1st half, as these two neighbours take each other on in a free-flowing game - though it is the English who are on top through most of the 1st half, which sees Tammy Abrabham score an early brace (both with his right foot from around the edge of the penalty area) to put England in control. Ramsey manages to get one back for the Welsh, with a brilliantly converted free-kick that was conceded by a rash challenge by Stones.
Allen levels up the game with a fortuitous deflected shot from distance, which Pickford cannot quite get his hands to. Though the last word this half goes to Hudson-Odoi, who has been controlling the front-line and gets his own reward with a scintillating run and shot that Hennessey cannot prevent entering the net!

Gradel puts the Ivory Coast ahead - to score their 1st goal of the tournament, despite the fact they can no longer reach the knockout stages. Clearly they want to end their World Cup participation on a high. However, Szoboszlai has other ideas - and manages to bring Hungary back into the game with first a side-footed shot that slips underneath the diving keeper, before a slick turn and shot to move the Hungarians into the lead.

San Marino are already confirmed as being on top of the group - but decide to go for the 100% record here, with a high pressing tactic to smother Slovaka's chances of picking up their first points in the group. Ntube provides the goal that moves them ahead here by playing a 1-2 with Riccardi in the penalty area and smashing the ball home!

Spain manage to take victory here to ensure they finish the group stage undefeated - and it's Sarabia who strikes the winning goal with a deft finish past the Senegalese keeper. That means Romania need to win by 3 clear goals in order to top the group...

Mitriță scores the first for Romania, as they take control of the 2nd half and push forward to try and grab the goals that they need to finish 1st in the group. In the 82nd minute Hagi drives forwards and gives them hope...but it's too little too late and the Spanish top the grop by virtue of their Goal Difference being better just a single goal!

Shojaei equalises for Iran, as that puts Liechtenstein in a tricky position - if they conceded again they might not top the group! However, they steady the ship and under Morris's guidance and manage to restore their lead with a counter-attack both led and finished off by Hasler.
That ensures Liechtenstein tops the group and will take on either Hong Kong or Ghana, whichever joins Portugal in the knockout stages...

South Sudan knew going into this match that a draw would be sufficient to get them into the Knockout Stages - and with a 2-0 half-time lead they relax and allow Austria back into the game. After a couple of near misses the Austrians salvage some pride at least with a well-taken finish by Greogritsch at the near post.
Though it is not enough and so South Sudan advance to take on Belgium in the Round of 32, which should be a daunting fixture given that Belgium are currently ranked #2 in the World!

Hong Kong also knew going into this match that a draw would suffice to secure their progress - though a 1-0 half-time lead was always going to be tough to defend against the Ghanaians and so they go on the attack and manage to add a 2nd goal through Law's slick finish in the 74th minute!
That puts Hong Kong through to take on Liechtenstein, managed by @Kyle Morris (A62) in what should be a fascinating Round of 32 encounter.
