What does your race analysis say John ? Normally you will find a description of your start accident or random there.

You can choose the risks you set.

You have starting risks (force to front, overtake when possible, maintain position) and risks on track (clear track, clear track when wet, overtake, defend, malfucntion). Play around with these and see when you get more and when you get less start accidents.

There is a chance also that it's just a random and that you have bad luck.

Hi John.
It's a common mistake rookies do when starting a race in rookie obviously with a rookie driver. You should better think by yourself why your driver crashes at the start of the race , when giving him the instructions of how should your driver handle the start of the race in your race setup and strategy page!
Have fun and good luck for the next race! :)

on your record you already have five time crashes . which is way too much
i would think it is your risk , your driver only 21 age most likely weak ex prince
if i am in your shoes i will go ( overtake when its possible )

wish you good luck next race

Try lowering ct risk it will make a big difference especially for the start and even of you dont crash you would likely run out of energy early

No need to use more than 20-30 ct in rookie and in some cases 0ct is more than enough

Nothing wrong with using force to front in rookie if you know what your doing elsewhere

I have the same situation.

It would make sense if a driver runs too risky and crash, but the car just stops... soo stupid...

Your driver is in the 1st stages of his career, maybe you run your start/ct risks too high?

It may seem a joke that a game where you have a "starting risk" option to choose how much to force, that what most affects the start accident is "clear track risk", but it is not joke. It is the logic of the Admin. And it will certainly never change.

For any racing fan it makes more sense to have an accident with CT risk in the middle of the race. Crash with a lot of overtake risk or a lot of block when fighting for position, but in gpro everything is concentrated in lap 1.

And there is also a lot of luck involved in lap 1. It is possible to use the minimum risks in everything and have a start crash as well.

Sort of a bang with a long time delay fuse? Or will it be a super slow motion one?

The post you quote is almost 3 months all and you are now replying?

I have heard of it. But you are completely definitely probably maybe safe from it so no need to worry. Shouldn't be crossing your mind as you watch the start of your next race. Probably.

And there is also a lot of luck involved in lap 1.

There are examples of 1 or 2 start accidents in ~1000 races which suggest otherwise. Just to say that there may be "some" luck involved, but not nearly as much as some might like to think,
