Yesterday my lovely engine ruined my race.
I'd like to ask you if it's posible (or a bug) that starting with an engine of 45% wear and ending the race with 76% can cause the problem "engine was losing power".
Since 23th lap I suffered the problem in all remaiining laps, no matter if I entered to pits at 40th lap.

Wait a minute...
This is the 2nd post, which complains of "engine losing power" with a healthy engine. I myself and a team mate of mine had this random as well last race.
Was yesterday the engine failure day?
suspicious...

I understand that if you start with and engine 80 % wear you can suffer problems.
I'm sure that this has been discused in the forum hundreds of times, but randomness with car problems like tyre puncture kills the game and makes people quit it.

I may as well join that train of the Engine Losing power ;) Finished with an engine which i can still test with :D Seems we were all given faulty engines, i reckon we need compensation. Maybe 150m, i'll be happy :D

Life has "more or less random events" in it :)
Also let's have a look at this... You've had 102 races and now you had an engine issue, that would make it what... 1% of the races. Surely that's not too common
btw, slightly offtopic: I do recall a real life season in F1 where a driver had gearbox issues in like 50% of the races :/ (granted it was a new design at that time, so it had it's "teething troubles")

Great features of this game are: suffering from tyres with high temperatures, perform an horrible race due to a bad strategy, driver mistakes due to high risks, rain starts after your driver enters to pits, etc.
They make this game great and they provide enough pain (when your rivals suffer them the pain is transformed to pleasure jeje).
What I hate is random things that nobody can control like tyre punctures. If game devs erase these random things, nobody will complain and the game will be more fun.

Just play F1 Manager (EA Sport) and you will never complain about GPro (50% failures approx)

May I join the engine losing power team?
It happened to me yesterday from lap 16 to lap 39.
But it's the first time I get this random in 55 races I had so far.

Semi Random? Have a day off. Thats a true random in my book all day long. I wont say what I think a semi random is as it reveals quite a fair bit.
But telling a noob thats a semi random is not correct imo Mikko.

Perspective
How many races were run and how many cars on the track?
|
|
|
Tbf Roy. Thats 5 active forum users. It could be a coincidence of course. I also got a true random but it was for a different part.
But I'm sure the Einsteins among you know what changed a few seasons back surely?
|
|
|
I don't know Roy I'm just making fun of myself after having a random that dropped me like 20 positions yesterday.
I assume you want a %. As I said I got my first random in 55 races. So far a bit less than 2% of all my races. If I reach my 100th race without any random it will become 1%... until I get my next random... and so on...
I'm sorry but I'm too lazy to count how many cars ran on track yesterday and how many were affected by randoms.

1 repairable random in 3 seasons + 2 races. Almost noone ever retires. You really need to try hard. Absolutely nothing to be worried about. This game is soft and you still worry.
Think about how hard time got Mclaren with Honda engine. Or some unlucky driver which retired half of races in season. That is what can happen in life.
In 2010(first dozen seasons) almost every race someone crashed at start. Each season there was few randoms. Risks were meaningful. Then i myself got 7 mistakes and puncture with 50 risks and ragequit, but only because it was favourite track and last chance to keep place in amateurs. Then red zone started at 26th place.
After playing Motorsport Manager im accustomed to all unexpected scenarios like teammate crashes. Just wonderful game everyone here should try it.
