Hello,
I need help. I am watching the race live and I found my driver making 3 Driver Mistakes before the race even reached halfway... he's been making a lot of mistakes every race (3-4) even though his concentration is in the 190's and risk isn't super high. What is the reasoning behind this?

Hey Daniel.
Take a few notes:
when are the mistakes happening?
What could it be related to as far as strategy is concerned?
what could it be related to as far as car, or driver is concerned?
what about the track?
take a lot of notes
Gather some data and you'll begin to master it after some time.

Which risk isn't super-high?
There are different risks and some are more likely to produce driver mistakes than others.
Also "not super-high" isn't low, so maybe try low risks (you're in Ama, remember)?

Danniel, use overtake risk below 10 and see if the excess of mistakes continues. Overtake risk X = few mistakes (average driver).
You will need to test several values of overtake risk to reach a value that can overtake some cars, without having much mistakes. And it's normal that in most races you won't be able to overtake much slower cars using XX overtake risk. XX OR = a lot of mistakes.

I think I know the issue now; my overtake risk is much too high. I think I was running in the XX's for overtake and defending risk.

Asking questions that guide him to find the answer himself will be better than giving him the right answer...

You took all the fun out of it Rogerio, we were nudging him towards the relevant aspects, each giving him a little more information while still observing the FOBY principle. You could have continued in that direction and hinted at one specific risk, which he should be cautious about but instead you just instructed him what to do.

Also keep in mind that using the same overtake risk on different tracks can give different results.
A track rated very easy overtake is different to a track rated very hard overtaking.

Your driver just wants to get strong as soon as possible =)

And the fact that a driver only makes mistakes just after or just before the pits?
Is this influenced by cold/worn tires? Or it is a driver atribute?

In this community we try to not use exact figures to help. The term is called "FOBY" (Find Out By Yourself) and the philosophy is that you will enjoy the game much more if you can figure it out your own way.
Of course basic help and little hints like what have been given are written to help you figure it out. Let's just say if you learned about lower overtaking risks causing less driver mistakes after just testing it out, you would enjoy it more than some guy just telling you what to do.

I'm having the same problem. My driver makes mistakes 2 laps after the first stop every race. I changed the "clear track risk" a lot but the mistakes continues.

So sad... what's wrong with this game with 20 risk , 2 mistakes in 1 stints... and one of them is 8 sec... pathetic.. second race in a row .

Mistakes are caused by many things.
You only mention 20 risks but not which category.
Cold tyres, risks, driver atrributes, incorrect tyres, and every once in while drivers make a mistake. (Even pro real life drivers do).
Check your races and review which could be the issues that generate those mistakes and change accordingly
