REMEMBER that players may initially enter a competition but may pull out for any number of reasons. It is your responsibility to check for any changes.
This is a " MAJOR event " so there WILL BE seeded players, but if you cannot find a player in one of the groups, simply replace him with another WILDCARD provided he is not mentioned in any of the other Groups
Withdrawal of players
Should a seeded player withdraw from the competition before he has completed the 1st round, where possible I will replace that player with the lowest player available from the same group.
Should there not be a player available there is normally a "lucky loser" nominated to replace any player withdrawing so that "LL" will be the player that mangers will have to accept.
Should there not be any "lucky losers" nominated to replace any player withdrawing, I shall replace by the first player available "ALPHABETICALLY".
The deadline for entries will be before the first ball is served in the MAIN competition but it would make sense to get your entries in at the earliest opportunity during the final day before play starts
The DEADLINE IS THERE FOR A REASON and that is because I WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY ENTRIES AFTER THE DEADLINE as previous seasons have caused too many problems and alters the automated sheet too much. I will try wherever possible to post "No More Entries" once deadline has passed
This will apply to ALL players whether or not they have started their match or not
The players have been classified into their separate groups according to World rankings. That list will be updated for each competition so names will change positions
For each individual Tournament you will have to choose 1 player from each Group A -----to ----- Group H making 8 players
Your 9th 10th, 11th and 12th player must be picked from any other player in the rankings that is not already named in any of the Groups A to H giving you slightly more choice than the nominated list
Should there be insufficient players in any of the groups, you will be allowed to pick any other player as long as that player is not mentioned in one of the other groups.
Those Professional players getting any BYES will NOT receive any points for that round but in a MAJOR, that is not normally usual
Any entries not following the player rule will not be accepted. I will try to send you a reminder if it is incorrect but I cannot guarantee that.

Can you clarify why so Alan? I don't know anything about tennis though but don't understand why the change would be needed:
- I have chosen Zhang who is in Group G and is confirmed to be playing Doi in first round?
- I have not chosen Vandeweghe anywhere?
- Vandeweghe is replacing Keys and not Zhang?

Apologies again as I have just looked and originally Rybakina was playing Zhang Shuai (CHN) to be replaced by Vandeweghe as LL and Doi was originally playing Keys.
I assumed that Vandeweghe would replace Zhang as she was not playing but in actual fact it is Keys who is not playing so Zhang has moved to her spot to allow Vandeweghe to come in - hope that explains it.
This means I have to replace Keys with someone else and fortunately no-one else chose Keys
