I was watching the race in the new viewer. After first lap, me and Joscha made a pit stop. We were first and second in the race. Race commentary only told me "Bogdan Hutanu enters the pit lane", and it was a 27 seconds pit.
Race analysis tells me this:

Technical problems
Lap 1 The car electronics were malfunctioning and had to be reset

And "old" viewer, in race replay, tells me "Bogdan Hutanu has a fierce side by side battle with Joscha Büllesbach down the straight which is doomed to end in tears as they make a contact and are both forced to make a pitstop to fix the damage"

So which one was it?

Commentary is for entertainment purposes only. It could of been either one of the 2.

Not so fast. It could of been the contact that made his electronics malfunction ;)

You both had a start incident which is reported in the commentary, the result of the incident is shown in your race analysis.

The car electronics were malfunctioning as a result of the start incident.

It is not 2 separate things and the "problem description" could have been anything that could have been fixed in the pitstop.

I thought the dancing bear makes the pilot sick in his helmet, pure bad luck. So would be the electronics doing a Windows 95 and needing a restart in a 0 wear car. But a collision is something one should be able to avoid, and thus my question: was it or not a start accident? And how would I know in the future, trust race analysis and disregard viewer?

The old viewer gets it. Definitely. I want one of those too. Kidding. Just put the old viewer commentaries on the new viewer.
