Hola, soy nuevo en el juego y tengo una duda... cómo puedo variar el número de paradas en boxes en la estrategia de carrera, me salen 5 y no sé cómo variar ese número.
Gracias

Hi Carlos,

There's so much to learn and we are not allowed to share actual numbers in here. I would suggest you find yourself a mentor that will be able to help you ease into the game. Please have a look here:

/gb/forum/ViewTopic.asp?TopicId=20548#scroll

Also, this is a good place to have a lot of basic info to consume:
/gb/Help.asp

Lot's of luck, stay on it and you will get to grips with the game. Use the rest of this season to test and make errors as much as you like. DO make notes for future reference. By the start of next season you would be informed enough to have a shot at promoting to AMA!

Assuming you put in a lot of fuel and hard tires, would the system automatically make fewer pit stops?

Obrigado

There are 4 situations that can force you to stop:
- climate change (rain / dry)
- No more fuel for another lap
- Not having tires for another lap
- In some cases, technical problems

Some of those possibilities are in your domain and you can control it.
Choose the one that allows you to predict your stops, with great accuracy.

To a certain extend you can think of such things as if it were real life. However, do keep in mind this is not as real as F1, but the game is simulating the F1 experience. In short the answer is yes, but the key is how much fuel to put in ... As this will be your first race, there's not much you have to lean on. Possible testing will give you some understanding?!

Best tip is to write down what you do before the race, and check the race analysis after the race on what your personal results are. Compare the two and adjust your input. However, though this sounds easy enough, things differ from race to race ...

The start out the game is all about trial and error, lots of it. If you like to puzzle, analyze and improve, then this is the right game for you :)

Welcome to the site Carlos,

The 5 slots you see for fuel after pitstops can be filled, but it doesn't mean that if you fill all spots you'll have that number of pitstops. As others have already pointed out, your stops will depend on the tyre compound and the fuel, as whatever runs out first will determine when your pitstop is going to happen. If you are out of tyres, you'll pit. If you are out of fuel, you'll pit.

It's very important that you are aware that YOUR QUALIFYING TYRE COMPOUND WILL BE YOUR RACE TYRE COMPOUND. Many newbies always qualify on Extra softs just to be faster, not having into account that will limit their race compound to extra softs only, which means they'll have more stops due to worn tyres.

Carlos.

Welcome to GPRO.
That assumption works well in higher temperatures
However
Not in lower temperatures
So be careful.
Look at track attributes, plus weather forecasts.
This will help you a lot in strategy decisions.
Generally, higher temps, harder compounds, lower temps, softer compounds.

Good luck

I think he has the same problem I had and probably many other rookies have. It's where to change from the default Extra Soft tires to other tires.

It's not very clear and you have to dig a bit. Perhaps too much to read in the start and important details get lost. I got to think that Rookies were limited to Extra Soft and Rain tires until my 3rd race.
