Please don't cut the speed on the straights,,,

Maybe it's better for you, but how about all those who can't watch the live, and don't want to spend ~1h 30 minutes watching the race but instead use 2*speed to cut down the time consumption. For them this is unusable.

Also, even when this new speed works for you, it doesn't necessarily work for others, we all have different eyes.

inally you can watch the race live and not fall asleep,, finally!!!

Have you ever tried starting to watch the race (let's say) 10-15 minutes "late" and then use double-speed ? that works nicely too (on all other tracks, on this one certainly not)

I've ended up doing that, because its unwatchable at 1x
I usually wait until 45-50 min+ to be able to watch it on 3x

Id rather offer 0.5x speed for those who cant follow. :)

Watched some laps of the race at 2*speed. I don't know what you're talking about.

Do the cars seem way too fast at 2*speed? Yes. They look really fast. But that's because it's at 2*speed.

Have you ever tried watching an F1 race at 2*speed? I wonder what you would think of that (you might think it's fine, I'm curious though). You can even try with race highlights here (or any other video/race) and tell me what you think: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dt8ANZIZ8Co . Personally, I think it is watchable with the knowledge that you're watching at 2*speed, same as the GPRO screen.

Regardless, in my opinion, what should be optimized is the speed of the cars at 1*speed, not 2*speed, or 5*speed or 10*speed. Even if the 2*speed quality is worse this way (I honestly don't understand why, seems fine by me), if it makes the 1*speed better, then it's good. Because the "normal" way of watching is live, at 1*speed, where the cars are at their "natural" speed.

From talks in the discord server and in my team server, it seems the majority of people appreciated the change, with some exceptions of people who did not enjoy it as much due to the 100-200kph speeds (something that I myself pointed out as a flaw then). But honestly I rather have that which Hans intends to fix (from what he said) than having cars travelling at 300 km/h that feel more like cars travelling at 80 km/h on the straights, and noticable sudden acceleration and braking at the start and end of a corner.

Yeah, normally 2x speed has been quite good (and it takes half the time to watch)

So your suggestion is to make the race last 3 hours, to inconvenience people rather heavily

I think better to adjust the speeds and slopes of this track to somewhere in between the norm and what this was

The point is, yes the "norm" wasn't great with 1*speed, but with 2*speed it is quite perfect in the sense that the graphix don't hurt eyes (no twitching) and it takes app. 45-50 minutes to watch the race instead of 1h30minutes

with this track though... 1*speed the graphix "twitch" due to the constant ludacrous speed changes and it takes 1h30minutes to watch, double speed is totally unusable and the other options absolutely redundant

What I'm saying is that this isn't as great as some people tend to make it. But it does have potential with further adjustments (some parts of this are ludicrous)

Your eyes must be sharper then, I could never do that.
One has to take these things into account, people are different, the design should accommodate multiple users with differing conditions.

I get your point Mikko and it's fair enough.

I was just so happy with this live "boost". :)

Yeah, something like that :P

We would only know what people think with a poll or something... just saying we haven't had an official poll for 3+ years, so maybe now it's a good time? xD

I have to support Mikko, even though I love this new speed.

If it is a question of some people not being able to follow the race at that speed, I'm willing to give their needs priority over my enjoyment. :)

At the end of the day, I can easily wait a bit and watch it on 2-3x speed, as i've been doing for ages. ;)

I was not watching it life, I started to watch it 1h later, used 2x speed in some moments, in some 1x as I wanted to enjoy the rack...but even 3x speed worked well for me.

If you are in your mind a spoke person for "all those who can't watch the live" - then be sure you do not talk for me.
For me it was fine...and after quick check, it was fine for me also today. I watch the race on notebook. And once again, I love it...

Same here.
I even created a formula that gives me the time that I should start watching the race to go til the end with 2X. Normaly is 45 minutes after the race start
Run the batch file a little early and set double speed as the default speed.
1X looks like tortoise race!

It would be great if we can also see the car speed on the top right corner instead where it's showned right now.

What else could be great

Another one who start to see the race some minutes later and go faster. In my case is 5x, but I usually go back when I see something interesting (overtakes, pits, etc.) happening.
