Having randoms is one thing but getting them in every race of the saesons bar one is taking the mikey... the last race we had, I specifically started the race on softs but with the option set to 0 for rain... It rained for 11 laps and I was not called in for a tyre change... in turn this cost me from 7th on the grid to 10th at the end of the race... C'mon I mean this is really annoying especially as I took every precaution in setting the risks.

That's no random, that's just your mistake. The option says, when it >starts< to rain. When it was raining all along...
|
|
|
What's randoms and risks got to do with not coming in for a tyre change when there's no weather change?
|
|
|
The weather did not CHANGE thus you did NOT pit.

Because the weather didnt change, and when it did you had the correct tyres on You start on softs, it stays on softs until your scheduled pit stop.

why you pit for tyre change, if the weather had not changed?

This is not random. The rain was already present. You should already know that a wet Q2 means that the race will start under wet rain conditions.
Here is why you failed. If you were to have started on wet weather tyres, and the weather changes from wet to dry. You would have waited 0 laps to pit for new tyres.
Instead the weather did not change, and when it did you already had the appropriate tyre for the conditions. Therefore you did not pit.

|
|
When you start a wet race on dry tyres, you dont go to pit in 1st lap, no matter what you set in Race Set-up Screen.

It rained for 11 laps from start at a weather prediction of 0-1% chance. My option was set for 0 laps to come in if it rained, which it did and I didn't.... how's that my fault!

The weather changed from rain to cloudy... your tyres change when you set the option for it to do so depending on the weather... not the scheduled pit stop?

WAHT on 0-1%, if thats the case why have weather % above 1%!

You obviously dont understand that Q2 being wet means a wet start to the race. THAT IS YOUR FAULT! Read the rules of the game, this will easily tell you why you fail.
As for the settings they are for when the weather CHANGES from wet to dry or dry to wet. If the race is already raining you will not change tyres until the weather changes. Which it did on lap 11.
It is your fault for using the wrong tires to start the race on.

You obviously had set the box that says tyres to use when the track is try to soft. The weather changed from wet to dry. The game registers that you want to have soft tyres on a dry track, and also realizes that you already are using soft tyres. You will not pit under this set of circumstances with the settings you provided.

Your mistake lot's of people put slicks on but they accepted that it was there fault.

Fuel pump i assume is a part on your car allowing fuel to be pumped into the engine.. If it wasn't working it would be a safety risk would it not?

On your race setting's there is a option to pit with a technical problem if their is more than X laps remaining you must have had it on 1 lap.

lets just clarify - Mods = Moderators of the forum nothing more!
Dev of the game - that falls to the admins. Hence the admins dont play the game but the mods do.

(I know nothing about car mechanics though, if anybody can correct/provide a link explaining it better, then please do. :)

I had two randoms in one race this round. I suffered from many randoms this season, my first try in pro. I suspect driver level and car levels and my risks were out of balance for the pro seson vs thee ameture.

Wrong :) Look at how you performed last season.
Now I think if you run the same risks, car levels this season you will have significantly lower number of randoms.
As Laila says it is to stop dominance :)

Random chance certainly seem to have been increased this season, we've had 5 in our team already.

Holy shet like 7 seasons in same rookie group?

how did a thread about rain setup instructions error... with the worst thread title evar to describe the content - get bumped to talk about the perception of increased randoms this season?
