## Miami – Ross Chastain (Posted so Mikko can enjoy sweating out the race with Harvick.)
A whole season of hopes rides on Ross
I'm a NASCAR fan so I hope it is a great race tomorrow and all 4 make it to the checkered flag. However, I would be happy to see about 10 mid-pack racers retire so Ross can make it in the top 25!

I was just browsing over this nine-month old long term game and curious regarding the differences between Mikko's drivers over the season versus mine.
Here are the differences:
Mikko: McMurray, Tifft
Vin: Klingerman, John Hunter Nemechek, JJ Yeley
Penalty: Mikko 3 - Vin 0
Cancellations: Mikko 0 - Vin 1
So, that would mean Mikko had a better year selecting driver finishes then I, but those extra points from essentially 2 penalties (my cancellation is essentially a penalty with regards to points) is my 22 point bonus going into the final round.
If he lost, it would be similar to losing the race for having that extra man leaning over the pit wall and having a one lap penalty. Oh well, if I can hang on I will be happy no matter the penalties or how it is won but if Mikko wins then congratulations on a strong season of selecting drivers.
This game really is a marathon and is part of the charm.

Yeah but it is not a guarantee that I would have got me top 20 finishes or so, instead of the penalties in respective races :)
Good that it comes down to the last race again this year in this marathon game. What time does the green flag wave? I should also catch some sleep tonight but they are still pre-race-interviewing the drivers as far as I can see.

According to various places, the scheduled green flag time is 21:38 CET.
Also, I should confirm for everyone that Mikko did select Harvick for the final race :)

Well well, Harvick possibly screwed himself there by staying out in the track too long, and dropped to 17th. Chastain currently 39th so we're tied with Vin now :D
38 laps to go...
Ooh Chastain is gonna get 37th soon. Harvick now up to 12th but nearly a lap down to leader. Still very close. And if we are tied then Vin will win I assume.
Well Chastain rose to 35th in the end, but Harvick kept it clean enough and rose to 4th. Woop I'll take it, finally winning the OBS :) Even if it took an incredibly boring final race lol.

Ah, forgot to say thank you all. Finally I won this game :) Gotta say that I had a pretty good season with the picks I made, the couple penalties were just my own fault. Possibly David Ragan (36th in Bristol) was my only really underperforming pick. Finally I'm worthy of my alter ego pic.
Big cheers to Greg for running this and doing the reminders and all! Also to Vin for making a good run and keeping the fight until the end, my memory may deceive me but not often it is this tight! And a shout out to Frank who apparently handed the win to Vin already in September or so and never believed in me lol.
