it is quite painful , while at rookie i have negotiation going with very promising sponsor . and the deal is going with good money - loooong period .. then i got the promotion and the free sponsor .. buuuuuuut
in the same spot ( front wing )
gpro free sponsor ( pay me 300 k ) for 36 races
and don't get angry at all , no matter how bad my results were .
my new deal is on hold till the spot is empty . ( 600 k , 30 race )
i have no choice to cancel my free sponsor .
what to do , why the free sponsor got the same spot i am negotiate for
and why i don't have a choice of canceling a deal :...

You don't have to cancel it. You can validate one of them and leave the other one on hold. You will be able to validate the second sponsor once the contract with the first sponsor is finished.
When you get promoted to a higher division, gpro always offers you a sponsor. And that offered sponsor always comes to the lowest available spot.

The promotion sponsor doesnt get out onto the car but just waits until you put it on the car. If you click on the sponsor it will say something like accept sponsor. Dont reject it though as it will wait in your negotiations until you accept it. The sponsor you are currently negotiating with will then automatically go on the car when it reaches 100%

Only if you're smart enough to not click on the notification when you get it. That's what I did first time I promoted

unfortunately , was my first click , to accept the free sponsor , few races later .
then i noticed the problem .
and now i stuck with that sponsor .

I wouldn't want to cancel any sponsors as they are hard to negotiate.

There is no need to cancel your current negotiation. You can finish it in a very slow priority and when the promotion sponsor contract runs out you can simply accept the one you finished.
Consider to cancel it if another manager starts negotiations with the same sponsor (I'm not talking about the promotion one, but the other) and there is a risk of stealing it from you before you can accept it.

I HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED TO 100% , AND I WAS THINKING I WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO CHOOSE WHICH SPONSOR I WANT ON MY CAR
MAY BE I HAVE TO BE SOME MONEY TO THE OLD SPONSOR
BUT CONSIDERING 300K TO 600K
THAT IS HUGE DIFFERENT

Oh I'm sorry, I wasn't aware your other sponsor is currently at 100% negotiation.
Well, I still recommend you not to cancel the sponsor negotiation. As mentioned before, sponsor negotiations are hard and long. But pay attention if another manager starts negotiations and there is a chance of stealing it away from you. If you see that it will be impossible to accept before the sponsor is stolen, you could cancel and start a new one.
A bit off topic: I think this is not a FOBY topic. I think a FOBY question related to sponsors would be something like "how much % advances my negotiation after each race?" or things like that were the opener asks for specific numbers. Here we are just giving pieces of advice and opinions.

Think of it this way... as long as your results don't upset the second one, you now have guaranteed sponsor income for 66 races. Nearly 4 seasons.
A lot of people struggle to get any sponsor income for whole seasons :)
Certainly no reason to cancel it. The sponsor being on 100% wont hinder any other negotiations and will only take up one of your maximum five negotiations spots, so there are no disadvantages at all.

Having a sponsor at 100% while the spot is occupied is called having a sponsor "in the fridge" and is one of the best things that can happen to you (if nobody is trying to steal it from you).
You are now in control when to put that sponsor on the car (of course the spot has to be empty first) and chances are you won't need that sponsor in amateur but it might come handy in Pro or Master.

Not always, but you can win some time if you see that the sponsor negotiation will be lost, no matter what.
Would you suggest to do anything else?
