Yeah, though in the absence of anything that qualifies well in hot weather, I'd say these kinds of races are always likeliest to throw up curve balls and lean towards the Yoko tyres, which is good cos generally they are crowded out in lower or mid temp races. There's certainly been many curve balls this season with so many BY/Dunno temp races! When I got that time for my Q1, honestly, I was surprised - my pratice was 5 tenths slower, believe me. The Q2 I did was probably about where my pace is in that weather. And that's considering a driver with over 200 conc, talent and stramina. Shows the power of temps with the tyres I think! I mean, its been a good season in terms of learning for me about that side of things...though more in an apathetic frustration way than anything remotely satisfying! I feel JB's pain cos one bad result can just throw everything to the birds. Did for me regarding two sponsors in those 13th/9th races! Despite all the good preparation I don't expect to show up well in Master even If I get there.

yeah, temps have huge impact in races, especially in tracks with big TCDs...

Yeah exactly this...ah well, there are worse things than spending another season here. Just sucks that I'm about to put about 4 uncontested sponsors on at the end of this season and lose a driver that I've worked on for about 5 seasons...it would have been perfect for being back in Master tbh :|

Partly true. The problem is game economy. You can more easily sustain Master simply because 20th place is as good as the money you get for 8th in Pro. And in Pro you need to 8's/10's (and some sponsor) to keep testing at a good rate. So, the difference between this league and above is massive in that regard. If your driver's contract runs down in Master, you can just find a good one to spa/psych and just rinse/repeat retain seasons until something comes along worth taking up. As long as you can keep the sponsors happy and on the car, Master is, economically, a better league than Pro. The difficulty with it is everyone has good everything.
In Pro, as soon as you lose your driver you're basically screwed because the economy of racing in 20th is the same money as 8th in amateur. Yeah, with the added costs of more expensive parts, tyres and TDs....so....rebuilding here is just a shit.
I honestly think the game needs to revamp some areas though. S&F is the most pointless part of the game. I've literally no idea why there are 15 people above me with better S&F unless they have maxed untrainables because its the biggest waste of money going. Literally no point. You may aswell chance your luck on the best TDs with max bonuses than waste money on that stuff. Also, and this would help in higher levels, there should be a default "team" sponsor that we all have. But like what I'm doing in my silly game (ahem...forum game...sorry JB :P), where the game maybe asks you to choose a sponsor ahead of the race and gives a reward based on where you think you'll finish. Problem in all levels above amateur is sponsors, yet the answer to fixing it was, it seems, semi-capping how many you can negotiate with - a cap that still meant that even with half-shit (or half good) comm's facilities, you can still easily negotiate with 6. I don't think levelling the playing field is the answer, but more expanding the possibilties, but for managers to actually do something manage-y to earn it.
Meh, my pointless thoughts. See you in Pro next season JB. Lets just take those H things and have a laugh on the slide back:)

Keep it going man , we can do this 💪🤞 nice last lap gain for me, will be happy if I can achieve that outcome 7 more times, not that I will as it's been such an up and down season for pretty much all of us except Zahid so far ! Long may that , erm, not continue ?!?!

If you blitz the first 3 races of next season though, I see no reason why a nice little rubber like Dunno's couldn't keep you near the front Jon if you could find a driver with decent stats.

Your best bet is to save finances now while you still can because this seems to be quite a financially damaging season :/

It's not quite over yet though Jon. The guy who occupied the 'best of the rest' in Pro for that additional promo spot only came 12th last race (Viktor Dyankov). So, I'd be inclined to give it one last high CT, boosting bash. Suzuka is the third cheapest track on this season's calendar after Yas and Mexico. And one of those is still to come. I dunno mate, if it were me i'd not give up just yet. If you could grab yourself 8 points here, I think it's all to play for. You'd be pissed if you could have or might have done well and then the next race was maybe wet. Cos for sure it would be game on then. Just putting it out there. I think if I was you I'd have one more race where I literally left nothing on the table. At least if that don't work you can chill and say you gave it your best. Up to you though, don't be guided by my Pastor pastiche ;)
