I think a race commentary is a nice thing to listem to:
One speaker everytime IN Elite
IN every other groups volunteer speakers - If someone wants to speak And comment The race IN his group - he Can :) otherwise not :P

Actually, this would be quite entertaining, not only the sound, but the way the cars are appearing when crossing the line!
Those who get annoyed by the sound can simply turn the volume down...

Maybe a toggle between modes in the replay...or so this only happens in the live race?

Um ... I already stated my view regarding audio during the race. I am not terribly fond of it. Heck, I am even avoiding the loud sounds at the start of the race.
I only wanted to understand what he was referring to in this post.

I thought the point of the suggestion was to have audio in the race. Hence the topic title ...
Graphics, sure, it would be nice ... but server load would be an issue.

Probably the reason why it has been kept the way it is! TBH, I'd prefer consistency in the game rather than any graphic change.

Try listening to the real thing for 2 hours. Yeah, it's loud, but sure is music to my ears.
Nice idea, but some people prefer to listen to music while watching these races. But like JB said, I do like the idea of the cars appearing one by one.
