Thanks to all of the New Zealanders and Australians who have not only defended their home lands, but also contributed to the efforts for freedom around the world.

Despite my personal opinions on WW1 & WW2 and the ANZAC's involvement, I cannot even begin to fathom the bravery involved. To sprint on to a field where thousands of people just like you died would have been the scariest thing in the world.

There were no survivors, and we will remember them.

WW1,WW2 & Vietnam should never be forgotten, or any other conflict's that our brave men & women have served in. With approximately 65 million killed in WW2 it is the biggest event in history !!

Lets hope the Left Wing, don't get their way & stop teaching it to our children in our schools, so that it lives on in history, & it can never happen again.

LEST WE FORGET !!!

What ? the left like freedom of speech I would say if this s so It would be more right then anything but I highly doubt that would ever be implemented in Australia.

Not a Time to Politicize but to remember. Many lost their lives to give us the freedoms we take for granted today. My Great Grandfather was at Galiopoli and to my good fortune he came back.

So many deaths and sacrifices made by Australians and New Zealanders, on this day in Gallipoli in 1915

"Lest we forget"

Unfortunately today we were not allowed to congregate and show our respect for these brave soldiers. But nice to see down my street, neighbours standing on the end of their driveways. Uniting with me with candle in hand as the sun rose for another day, on this very special day

"Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives... you are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours... You the mothers who sent their sons from far away countries wipe away your tears. Your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well."

-Mustafa Kemal ATATURK, The founder of the Republic of Turkey
